Course Curriculum Overview

4

In MBBS there is 4.5 years of classes and 1 year of internship so total 5.5 year. So in short very long course. But it is worth it. It should be improved by taking measures to use technology more widely. Other than professional University exams there are sessional exams which are in interval of about 4 to 5 month.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In internship of one year we have to work in college hospital as intern and stipend money offered is 30k+ per month. As intern we work as doctors doing shifts at different time according to schedule. After internship we get our degree. It is kind of hectic to do internship in IMS BHU but we learn so much in it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of one year is 33564. Tution fees is 4000 Caution fees is 1500 Admission fees is 50 Development fees is 1000 Lab fees is 200 All categories have same fee structure There is no scholarship provided from college but we can apply for scholarship from other sources

Campus Life

4

There is soo many traditional events we celebrate Like Vasant panchami, Guru Poornima and there is also event named ELIXIR which is organised in our college in October. There is one Library in college which include latest edition of all the books necessary for medical. We also have access to Central library of BHU where there is many other kind of books available. All the classes are taken on smart board and projectors in AC rooms. There is many grounds in BHU campus but IMS doesn't have any sports in there curriculum. In events there is some sports events but they are organised by seniors not by college.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility provided is not far from college. Hostel room is shared by two students there is two bed one for each, two chair one for each, two table, one fan in each room. Meal provided by hostel is not that good to be honest quality and hygiene is not maintained. In first year hostels are different and we have to change hostel once we go in second year. In second year mess is worse than of first year mess. We usually opt for tiffin services. Registration process is done with admission process.

Admission

I applied for AIIMS and can get that too but I choose BHU because of it's uniqueness and faculty. In IMS BHU most important factor is that u will get internal reservation of 50% for PG courses. That make it very easy. I didn't get AIIMS Delhi, Jodhpur. You can get admission in IMS BHU through NEET UG.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:17 for every department. Student and faculty relation is not that good to be honest. At beginning we are afraid to even talk to them because they scold us for every minute mistakes but soon we adapted and then it became easier. I like faculties from biochemistry department because of their social behaviour and I kinda dislike anatomy faculty specially one proffesor because of his unsocial behaviour. In our college there is 4 professional University exams in total and minimum marks is 50 percent in both theory and practical to pass the exams. It is not very difficult but some fails to pass and have to give supplementary exam.

The curriculum prepares us for the real time management of the patient illness. If we talk about the difficulty of the curriculum, so yes it is difficult but just it needs consistency and nothing. It prepares us for dealing with the real world by understanding the patients.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The profession I'm in is medical. The toughest of all. As from the starting I wished to be a doctor. The one who is second to a God. The one who is respected the most. The one who does the most prestigious job. As per the curriculum we have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years plus we have to attend the clinical posting in hospital , which exposes us to real world. The posting time is the time given to students from second year till year last. Improvement can be done in passing the exam part which is 50% in each subject. It can be 40 % marks. Currently I've given my MBBS second year which was hectic because of the vast syllabus. We have total of 5.5 year course for an undergraduate degree. Out of which 4.5 years is about studies rest one year is internship in hospital. We have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years. The mbbs course is very lengthy. Each and every subject is very vast. So we have to study maximum time. So all the very best those who aspire to be a great doctor
