College review at best: all the things I would want to know

There are clinics which give us experience of real world and opportunities to apply knowledge. Using newer technology could be beneficial. Final exams once a year and pre finals before that and 1-2 term exams each year along with practical and vivas Moderately tough and as the year passed it gets tougher.

Internship is compulsory in MBBS, here it's done from the same hospital from which the college is associated. In this college they have their own hospital. Stipend is set by the government and interns are paid according to that only.

I paid 20 lakh in first year it included 3 lakh security fees (which will be refunded on completion on course) and 50000 for kit, bone box and vaccination and for second, third and fourth year my total fees was 1535851. Tuition fees is 13 lakhs and mess food and hostel charges are 150000 for double occupancy room for all the years and there's extra 65000 examination fees which has to be paid before final exams each year. And for last 6 months of 4.5 year course the fees is 767626. In internship the hostel charges are 250000 and extra mess food charges. Fees is same for all of the students, there is no concession or scholarship or any kind of financial aid for students.

There is annual cultural fest almost every year and sports fest twice in a year. There is no student council and student clubs. But overall social life for students is good. Opportunities for engaging in activities are always present.

Single/double person per room accommodation is available. Either with or without attached washroom and with or without ac. Mess food is of adequate quality and taste. Moderately good could be improved, as 50000 per year is paid for mess. Not allowed to stay outside the campus, hostels are compulsory.

The college I got was completely on the basis of councelling and no one has any direct involvement on taking or rejecting the college. SRMS is a better college in few things it has better teaching but it also has some other drawbacks.

Faculties are very supportive and helpful classes are taken as lectures or sometimes saminars and students also do presentation. For clinical postings batch is divided small groups so it's easy to teach. Every year there are term exams (once or twice) other than this there are class test arranged by individual departments. And on year end there is pre professional and professional final exams. Fail portion of students are not more than 1/4 of the batch strength.

MBBS students have hotel timings and for that duration they can go anywhere like library, gym, shop or cafeteria. There is different timings in summer and winters but maximum is 9:30 pm in campus timing at night and out campus is 9pm maximum and days for out campus outing is divided between different batches.
