Remarks

TIST has provided me with an excellent environment to develop myself. TIST provide very good opportunities in technical cultural and social events. The management and faculty thrive in serving the students and improving the quality of the institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). The syllabus is set to provide a good insight into new technologies and social emergence. Rather than theories practical and real-world application knowledge is intended through the syllabus.

Placement Experience

5

I have been placed in Infosys and TCS. I also had the chance to appear for various other firms like Wipro, IBS, CTS. More than 300 students in the 2015-19 B.Tech batch have been placed in various firms. TIST has one of the best placements histories for eligible candidates.

College Events

5

Other than academics TIST encourages its students in developing themselves. Arts day, sports day, college day and the National level fest 'Advay' are celebrated annually. Other than this each department celebrates a department fest annually. Various religious and social events are also celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for BTech is similar to most colleges and is as per the government criteria. The management seat for 4 year BTech program is around 85000 per year. The college provides various scholarships to students on the basis of their entrance score or +2 marks. The details of the scholarship and fee structure are provided correctly on the website.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any scholarship or educational loan. TIST provides a scholarship for its students, the details of which can be found on the college website.

Campus Life

4.5

As per my experience, TIST has an amazing campus. Various clubs like NSS, YoungIndians(YI) are functioning that helps in uplifting our social life and moral values. A notable experience is karma club which is focused on giving back to society. Various technical events are held and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) also operate in TIST.

Alumni/Alumna

An annual alumni meet is held at the college at department level. The distinguished alumni list is mentioned in each department and they are frequently invited to college for interaction with the students.

Admission

I got allotted to TIST in the second allotment. The allotment slip along with necessary documents for admission was presented at the college admission cell and certain fees were paid. The admission process took around 3 hours and was hassle free too.

Faculty

5

The college has a rich faculty structure. There is enough technical staff in each lab to help the students in their practice sessions. The staff is well trained. The teaching faculties are also well trained and experienced. The entire faculty maintains a very friendly relationship with the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
