World University of Design Review

The curriculum of the college is also very good the thing which me made me select this college was in curriculum we were also going to learn about design because in most of college we only got to learn about game art but here we were also going to learn game design not game art only. There is a big difference between these two. Game art is mostly technical side and game design is creative side. In this college the first year is foundation course which is not that necessary. The exams are conducted on the basis of semesters there will be exam conducted at the end of semester and if you really want to learn and skilled then the difficulty of the exam will surely not be the big problem. But still you will have to do lots of hardwork and learn new things on your own because no college can make sucessful until and unless you really want to learn. So you can't left things on college's responsibility.

As our seniors told us if you are skilled and enthusiastic person you can easily get good internship. Some companies which came for the internships are Leapfinance, Max, infoedge, Ajio, etc. The highest stippend got paid was INR 40,000 per month and the average stippend paid was INR 15,000 in 2021-2023

The placements of the college is not that good as per seniors. The average package of the college is 4.7 lacs per year and the highest ever went is 24 lacs per year. As per the year 2022 the placement was 100% in B des.

So the total fees of a year in Animation and Game design at WUD is 3.5 lacs but there can be around 20K to 30K per year expense on stationery. There are also many scholarship opportunities available which can't be told but all that are available on the WUD website in scholarship section. you can view the all scholarship opportunities opening the wud website. Getting scholarship in world University of Design is very easy if you are good in studies or if you have scored good rank in NID, UCEED or NIFT. The students can get scholarship from 20 to 50% on total tution fees. There are registration charges which are non refundable of rupees 18000.

There are many celebrations and festivals were done in this college one of the biggest fest is the CULT festival which get organised in around October month where many performances were done by students in different categories. In total there are 14 clubs in the university ran by seniors and faculties also. Some examples are Rangreza for Western dance, carvan for music, ink well for literary, pixicon for design and so on. There are sports activities are done in this University and tournaments also get organised. Infact there is a volleyball ground, football ground, table tennis, tennis court, basketball court and badminton court also is in the university only. And net practice for the cricket can also be done in this college.

The hostel rooms are very good and some rooms are spacious than other rooms. Each and every room has the AC ( no need to pay AC bill, included in hostel fees) and attached bathroom also. You will get room and bathroom cleaning service everyday. The yearly charge for college is 165000 including mess without mess it would be 88000. There is a laundry room where you will need to pay 30 rupees per wash for the washing machine.

I have earlier applied in NID but wasn't able to crack NID so I started finding out design colleges in India. Then I got to see this college on siksha.com where I researched on this college and reached to the seniors or alumni of the college and asked through them about this college and got a review of the WUD. I chose this college on the basis of the hostel service, faculties and reviews from the alumnis which were great. The college also take the entrance test named WUD DAT, but a normal person also can easily crack the entrance exam it is not that hard to crack.

The faculty of wud are very supportive, they always encourage the students to think out of the box, being innovative and also tell to explore the new ideas and innovations. One of the faculty named Suresh sir, he teaches us the sketching methods, tips and tricks I liked them because he can teach the difficult to difficult method easily and also focus on each student who is facing problem. I didn't like the mam here named Lolita mam although she is also a brilliant professor she teaches us the design principles mostly can be said theory part. I didn't like her because she expects over from the students means she want that students go out of the box but in this process she many times demotivates the students also.
