- The professers are really old and most of the times the classes tend to be boring
- The college is unnecessarily strict and enforce a lot of rules which are at most times really inconvenient for the students
- The infrastructure is really outdated and needs a lot of work to be done
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is actually really well structured Per semester there are three exams and two internal exams and also a final semester exam The course could have been a little bit better if they included a little bit more practical oriented training as it is fully theory oriented training which usually gets quite boring most of the time There are 3 exams which is 1 exam every two months and two internal exams every three months and also a final semester exams which are quite tough to pass as it is a combination of what was thought across that semester
Internships Opportunities
The companies which usually appear for internships are tcl , Zoho , 100+ , etc... The college is very open and help in preparing the students for the internship programs and interviews with special classes and practical oriented training
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees per year is 84,000 rupees but it should be paid semester wise which means 42,000 rupees per semester Admission fees , and other fees comes for a total of 5,000 rupees There are no scholarships provided by the college The big positive is that there are no entrance exam requirements which is a huge relief
Campus Life
There are a lot of cultural activities in This college as they give a lot of importance to it and they try to engage the students as much as they can Events such as pranaya, Onam celebrations, Pongal , sports day , There are a lot of social- run groups and clubs such as NCC , NSS , media club , etc... This really help students get well settled in colleges as these groups help make new friends easily and these groups help that process to be quicker d These groups also brings awareness for the college students which are really helpful
Hostel Facilities
I currently have rented a room which is almost 9km away in the locality of kuniyamuthur But the major problems I have heard about the hostel is that they are not clean the rooms are crowded and there is no aircons which is not really necessary as most of the year it is pretty good climate
Admission
No i did not apply for any other college as Karpagam college was my first priority as this is a very well reputed university in Tamil Nadu The eligibility is that the student must have scored a minimum of 60% in their 12th std final exams that is a compoulsary The big positive aspect is that the college does not require any entrance exam requirement which most colleges and universities require for this same course The admission process was a bit hectic as at that time there was loads of students who were trying to apply and there was clearly a lack of management during the admissions process and there was also confusion between faculty on what to do
Faculty
The faculty of the college is actually really supportive and look towards the betterment of the students and what is best for them The college staff are always keen to solve any problems the students are facing and are very approachable I like Priya miss very much she is very good in teaching and very friendly I dislike Ashok sir very much as he is very strict and classes are very boring Per semester there are 3 exams per semester and they are fairly easy
