Entrance Preview

After my class 12th, I took AIEEE which was mandatory to get admission in this college. I scored 27 (score doesn't matter, at least for that academic year) I chose this college because I am a christian and this is an Institution run by christian minorities. (50% Quota for Christians.)

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course Curriculum can be given an average score. There are 6 subjects and 4 Labs each semester which are cumpulsary. Elective subjects are already fixed by the college management which leaves no options for the students.Electives include subjects like Power plant engineering, Environmental science, Machine Tool and Techonolgy. There are two projects : Minor Project during 7th Semester and Major Project during 8th Semester.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college had no concept of giving internship at the time of my study tenure. The only connection my college had with any company was with "Bhilai Steel Plant".Limited Students can take their summer internship (After 4th sem and 6th sem) which lasts for about one month with no stipend. However the overall experience which you get from visiting the largest steel plant in Asia is amazing and knowledgeable.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements and Job opportunities are the worst part of my college, I would say. Only a couple of small companies came for campus interview in my 3rd and 4th year. Only one student got selected in a reputed company called "Persistent software Solutions" with an annual package of 3.6 Lacks P.A. No other students accepted any offers from the small scale industries.

College Events

1.5

The major college events were1) College Day - It was celebrated every year in the month of October for the remembrance of the day in which the foundation stone was laid for this college.Various inter college cultural and sports activities will be held on the same day followed by the prize distribution in the evening .2) Hostel Day - This was celebrated by both the Boys hostel as well as Girls hostel together mostly in the month of February. Combined cultural activities and sports activities were conducted during these celebrations followed by a dinner party. All other religious as well as national festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm in this campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is one of the best thing about this college.Low fees structure goes easy on everyone's pocket and makes it affordable for poor and middle class families. At my time: Fee / Semester was Rs 26500/- Hostel Fees / Year was Rs 45000/-.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were scholarships and Academic awards (Cash awards) for the bright student of each semester. Each year, college topper used to get a cash award of Rs 5000/-.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio was well maintained in all the batches. But to be honest college management was very strict regarding mingling of opposite sexes within the college premises. Lab facilities were excellent in the campus specially for the Mechanical branch students with one of the best Mechanical labs in the entire state. College was very good in sports facilities. College basketball and Handball teams were the university champions for consecutive 3 years. Frequent sports tournament as well as robotics event used to be held. As our college offer M tech in Robotics, seminar on the same subjects were held occasionally.

Hostel Facilities

4

If i have to choose one best thing from my college life, It has to be the Boys Hostel. It was a small but well furnished and well maintained hostel. Three floors with around 40-45 rooms each. There were three types of rooms- (1) Two sharing (2) Three Sharin

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network was not very strong at our time however during our farewell an Alumni committee was being framed. and i hope its working well now.The relation with our seniors was very good at our college time as well as after passing out. Many are still in contact and helpful. At least the hostel students were very helpful and friendly with each other.

Exam Structure

Semester Exams were a hectic schedule as there will be only one day gap between each subjects which is not at all sufficient for the students.Labs were also scheduled right after theory exams within one day. we have to complete or rectify all the lab reco

Faculty

2.5

Some of the faculties were very experienced and having a thorough knowledge in the respective subjects. But unfortunately most of the faculties are very young and inexperienced which is a negative from a students point of view. Faculties keeps changing at

Placement Experience:

We can do internships after 1st year and 2nd but for the placement it's in 4th year. The training and placement cell of the college has work consistently to bring reputated companies like a TCS Wipro Infosys LNT Infotech etc. the medium package for uses students is like 4 lakh per annum and PG students was about 4 to 5 lakh per annum. However when compared with some of the top tile institutions the package levels and placement percentage highlight the student themselves me to bridge through internship of campus drive and additional certifications. Another noticeable trend is that placements 10 to be more favourable for the branches like computer science and information technology where are School branches of an face lower absorption rates which is common in many engineering colleges. But here off campus placement are really good

Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Internship for the third and final year students, but not paid mostly. Placements are very few, don't expect placement from any government college in Chhattisgarh. Work on your skill. Companies like Adani came for placement for Mtech mining students. Highest package is of 3.5 lpa, He works in Bangalore. Other students do master. I am working in my skills and I will try for off campus placement or I will go abroad for master or job.
