Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

the course curriculum is fine except for some changes, it depends on your HOD actually as they choose your elective and basically, that makes or breaks the semester. Our HOD takes the most difficult electives and we can't even choose them individually also.

Placement Experience

5

The placements of the ISE department are really nice, they have the highest package till now and continue to do so. this is probably the only college where it has more value than cse. The average package is 5-7 lakhs and the highest till now for the present batch is 16 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

the year wise fees is 2,89,000 for a management seat . this is for the vtu batch. now the college is autonomous hence it is increased for out juniors. we are the last vtu batch . there is a scholarship given by the state which can nbe used here . the donation is 2 lakhs . CET seat is 1.2lakhs approximately , and the COMED-K seat is 1lakh less that the management seat

Campus Life

1

the infrastructure looks fine, but there actually is much and its a very small campus. the clubs are pretty useless. the socail life mainly depends on the people u make as your friends . there is no in-college social life as there are a like 2 events and even those arent great. u can enjoy in other college fests if needed , so get good friends.

Admission

I applied to a lot of colleges like dsu, jss, nmvit etc but they were either too far, too costly or basically lifeless(the campus) and I didn't have any interest in them. the admission process for management is quite easy, you do have to make on-the-spot payment as the seats get filled up really fast as the ISE department is what the college is famous for.

Faculty

2.5

there is 1 teacher per subject in a class, the classes are 55 minutes long. i feel they take too many classes for an engineering college and the teachers dont even teach properly .veena maam is a nice faculty.the exams are quite tough because of the vtu batch . vtu correction is really tough and hard to pass.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information Technology)

it is really competitive apparently, and the student atmosphere isn't good as there is a lot of ragging involved.

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the computer science was booming and also beeing an aspiring student towards that field I had decided to do CSE. The curriculum is was less practical towards the real world applications. They should have include industry professionals to teach they would have better knowledge and experience. Every one we used to have exam like mid term , FA, and end terms. Difficulty depends upon prepration level done by student.

They are eligible for placements after 4th semester and the placements are average, a lot of companies have visited I can't say them all ex like Infosys, TCS , and a lot of American and Taiwanese companies, the highest place ment in this campus was around 28lpa and average is around 1L and the percentage of students getting placements are below average like every other college cause this mostly depends on you and not the college its all based on your skill set. My plans are to get a job with a good lpa and I'm confident about that because I have a good skillset which would benefit the companies.

If talking about the placement placements are good companies like Wipro or Amazon and many other companies will visit the campus but the ratio of selection is less. So little bit hard work is required or else around 60 to 70%. Students are placed from my college in every year.
