- campus : csmous attract you more. huge campus vehicle are there if you want to go from one campus to another, you can use your bycle in campus but other vehicle like car bike etc are not allowed in campus which is a good thing .
- Teachers : some teachers are ver well educated and helping, they will help you in every possible way
- extra co cariculam activities. campus gives you many apportunities toh show case your talent
Dislikes
- Cu is not focused on developing skills in students
- main focus of university is only on research paper. in masters if you are not able to publish three paper you will not be provided your degree
- before the end of 2nd sem they ask for the fee of 3rd semester.. if you are not able to pay fee on time they will add fine on fee and keeep increasing the amount of fine some of the student have paid 5000 rs as fine
Course Curriculum Overview
course cariculam is very bad. they are focused on research only.. for every subject yoy are supposed to submit a research paper and they dont provide you any kind of help for that.. in master you are supposed to cover 11-12 subject in one semester. which increases the workload of students
Placement Experience
placement in last 2 has decreased. less companies are coming to campus. and the companies coming to campus ask for 7 or above CGPA throughout whil make student not eligible for placement... many students have good skill but because of criteria they are not allowed to sit in placement other thing about placment is you have toh oay extra 10k to sit in placement drives. and if you got selected in one company you will not be able to sit in other drive...
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year fee get increased by 10 thousand For Master in CSE fee is around 120000 per year but they provide you scholarship for that you have to appear for a exam conducted by University ... According to score you get scholarships. If you have done graduation from the same university they provide you 15% scholarship if you book your seat early.(earlybird scholarship) but to continue your scholarship you have to maintain 7.5 CGPA otherwise no scholarship will be given in next year. other than ME CSE fee for master is high in MBA which is around 1lack per semester
Campus Life
festival : cu fest is one of the major fest which is celebrated for 6-7 days day and night continuously. hundreds of other festivel celebrated here every month... every differnt dept organise different festival for students and faculty. if you are taking cse you must have your own laptop as they dont have enough lab for students so they take lab in classroom where you are supposed to carry your own laptop student have many club which anyone can join and participate in these club... which increase your social interaction
Admission
I choosed this college for placement, i had seen lot of tv adds about the university. i had applied in cgc landra college and also got admission confirmation but i choose CU because of placement record. There is no eligibility criteria for admission. you should have 50% grades in school or graduation. and to avail scholarships yiu have to give CUCET exam. yiu have to submitt all the documents they aks and they will provide you a id number on which you will get your admission detials
Faculty
Very rare faculty is well educated. most of the faculty members are grafuated from chandigarh university. very less teachers have good knowledge about their subjects. most of the teacher just read the ppt and ask student to read from youtube and books. even some time teacher tell the question paper before examination
