- Sometimes the strictness can be annoying but that too really keeps you deciplined.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was also very nice. Covering all the topics in depth and relevant information and examples were given to make us comprehend it better. Regularly practicals was performed to demonstrate all the cement/concrete test etc.
Internships Opportunities
It depends on the vacancy that is available at the moment. At the college group you get immediately notified about the upcoming or ongoing campus drives and vacancies that you need to apply. The average salary that the college brings placement for was between 2lpa to 3lpa in the internship period which usually lasted for 6 months after that the salary was increased.
Placement Experience
Placement was also good. Honestly speaking they try their best to bring all the opportunities they can. Compared to all the other colleges in Aurangabad they too had a good placement history. Many of my batchmates got placed securing a package between 2-3 lpa which is fine considering that in civil field a fresher would get this much only when he/ahe is starting in private companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I fell under obc category I paid yearly Rs. 54,533 excluding all the exam fees that was 1000 per semister. Tuition fees was Rs. 42,968 yearly and development fees was Rs. 11,565 per year. As per my knowledge my friends who were coming under SC/ST category were only paying Rs. 1 as there fees was getting scholarshiped by government. I too and all the students that came under categories were applying for post matric scholarship due to which the obc and ebc students were relieved of 50% of fees and SC/ST students were relieved of almost all the fees. Other wise the original fees was near 1 lakh per year. So students who will be admitted through management without cet they will have to pay the whole fees despite of their categories.
Campus Life
Quasars was the biggest annual function that is conducted every year where you can participate and enjoy all the extra curriculars. Library also provide a wide range of reference books that you can get access to very conveniently. Mass computer systems are available to use for a subject they needs a system. Various sports like cricket, hockey, basketball, football, badminton, etc. is encouraged and teams also participate in inter- college matches.
Admission
My college provided me all the things that I was looking for. Most importantly the teaching was above any other colleges in Aurangabad. Plus it was very close to my home so it was convenient to me. They provided scholarships for reserved categories which some of the private colleges did not.
Faculty
Speaking of my department i.e. civil engineering, the faculty is very good and all the teachers are either PhD or Master holder. Rahul Patil sir was one of the teachers I liked (everyone liked him). Apart from that the examination also conducted very strictly. Per semister there were 2 continuous assessments of 10-10 marks and a mid semester exam of 20 marks and the final exam was of 60 marks. The exams were well proportioned and a little study would also keep all you subjects all clear.
Other Applied Colleges
Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies - [DIEMS] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Civil Engineering)
