University college of engineering

Course curriculum is up to the mark. It doesn't need any changes. Exams were conducted after two or 3 units. We had main exams after a semester. So there wasn't any pressure. We had assignments for every mid exam.

There are very low opportunities offered at present in the college. As of now focussing on projects and papers that are to be published. So companies and roles can be discussed further during the season.

The placements at present are not up to the mark. It might be due to the more number of students passing out every year. But if we work hard we can be placed in a good company. Opportunities are limited but enough to crack.

The fee structure is 50000 per semester. It is same for all category expect that they get reimbursement from the government. If u get a seat through gate you will receive stipend. It is 21000 for OBC. For SC it is zero. Stipend for gate students is 12400 per month. Also PGCET students can apply for a scholarship of eligible.

There is a fest called Nirmaan. Which was joyous. Also tech fests will also be conducted. The books and journals are more in number and very useful for all the subjects. Ground is there for the sports. As part of Nirmaan many games were conducted.

Hostel facility is not so good. The Maintainence is not good. Also as they are old buildings it gets difficult to maintain. But the mess is good with good food. People have to compromise with the hostel. It is kinnera hostel

I had chose this college because of it's reputation and the experience of the faculty. I had a talk with the seniors before joining the college. And that information helped me a lot. Eligibility is GATE and PGCET.

The faculty to student ratio in our transportation branch is 1 is to 4. As we got 3 professors for 12 people. All were experienced and suggest us the best. Always ready to guide us in right path. Those three were R srinivas, M kumar, D Rajasekhar
