What Students Say

Likes

The thing I liked about my university is the campus the peace it holds the greenery it has and the chirping of the birds.
Second thing which I like about doon University is the canteen. I have lot of fun there with my friends.
Last thing I like is the library and labs.

Dislikes

Hostel food I always disliked mt hostel food.
The entry time that was early. We were asked to come inside the hostel at 9.00pm
There was not proper facilities of doctors.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum was very nice. But accordingly we were not taught likewise. We had very less exposure of practicals. Like we had soo many courses that needed practical experience like wildlife, disaster management, earth science etc.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 27000 per year

Internships Opportunities

According to our curriculum we were supposed to do internship in the third semester of the masters programme. I did my internship forn oil and natural gas corporation dehradun. As this was a government organisation it does not provide any stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees was 27000 in the first semester including caution money after that it reduced to 22000 in the second, third, and fourth semester. I stay in hostel to I also pay hostel fees. It was 24000 in the first semester and for the coming semester it was 22000.

Campus Life

My overall experience was good. Infrastructure of our building in which we used to take classes was very good there were projecter we used to have our lectures on them. We used to have plantation drive on earth day environment day and biodiversity days.

Hostel Facilities

I used to live in a hostel. And as a masters student I was allotted single room. We had good facilities of washroom and balconies. Food was also ok ok you can't expect much form hostel food. I enjoyed my single room a lot.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Admission

I have an entrance test and I qualified this test. After that I contacted one of my senior and I was told that faculty of environment 9is good compared to other colleges . So like this I came into doon University.

Faculty

There is no bachelor's of environment science in doon University.we have only masters. So we have around 11 faculty. We have internals and externals semester wise. The teachers used to tech through presentation and they used to provide pdf as the study material.

Very nice cool is in the infrastructure.all the facilities are available in my college . Maine playground available for early game competition like cricket playground football volleyball hockey and many other games .in my college hostel are available in affordable price. Regularly activities should be done in college .all students get fully supported and helpful by the teachers . They provide notes time to time semester are 6 month long but to pendemic corora, the semister was completed in just 3 month

The course curriculum and faculty members are quite good and there relation and communication with students were also good. I choose this course because of the interest in plats. The faculty members are qualified and their interaction and teaching methods were amazing. Term exam were conducted twice a semester and there were some test every month. The good college for a better human being

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in forestry and environmental realted subject as I cleared my bachelor's from forestry I was looking for a good university for my master's degree and I find a perfect one. This university have good faculties that have great knowledge and they have good teaching skills. The strength of the class is 14 and 7 faculties are their total in the department so the ration is 1 isto 2. The exams were taken in the time and the teachers are so polite and cooperative.

I applied to only Delhi University via CUET. My parents didn't allow me to go to other city, hence I couldn't. The entrance was impressive of this university which was more difficult than CUET. Like some topics were not in the syllabus of CUET only. The admission process is simple based on entrance. Accordingly, lists are released on the website with marks. The dates are given and you have to do the paperwork and take admission. The entrance is CBT based mcqs and eligibility criteria is given in the prospectus available on the University website. Walk in admissions also take place if seats are left. Sports Quota admission is also available. In Economics, we had 50 seats but 51 students since one student failed last time. Now we are 49 since 2 students left as one has gone to Japan and other has left studies. The language courses have seats ranging from 27 to 30 with English hons having more seats....Read More
