Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is pretty good because it has the same course as other universities share and my decision for taking this course was because it was a central university and i had good hopes but it actually didn't happen as i thought it would. The curriculum prepares us pretty much nicely for the real world experience but it's hard to get good grades due to marking system which makes it hard for further academic pursuits in good universities or colleges. The improvement area can be the marking system as well as the teaching staff for fresh semester because they are provided with guest faculties which do not arrive in time sometimes. The frequency of exams are also good in terms of time given to us in each semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees from the time i had taken the admission which was from 2021 are as follows: 1st sem .Rs. 11150 , 2nd sem Rs.6920, 3rd sem Rs.10890, 4th sem Rs.10040 5th sem Rs.10940 6th sem Rs.10040. The fee structure are as follows(of 6th sem{latest}): 1. Course fee: RS 3600 2. Tution fee: RS.840 3. Examination fee: RS.800 4. Laboratory fee: RS.1800 5. Moot court fee: RS.2400 6. Bus fare: RS.600 The fees structure is the same for all category of students. My benchmates even have to pay the same fee structure as i pay for myself. I'm not well equipped with the scholarship system here but tribals do enjoy scholarship privileges in this university and also financial aid is available for some students with utmost financial needs for their course through the students union group of the university.

Campus Life

3.5

In this university a fest is held each year which is called the varsity fest which happens on March but the technical fests (ever since i took admission) have not happened yet but the students are trying their level best to talk with the administration for holding such events. Also there are events held twice or thrice every month but depends on the genre of that particular event. The books and journals are available in every departments library and also there is one library called Central Library where each and every student can visit and read or issue books/journals. The classrooms are provided with projectors but varies from department to department. Every departments has their own sanitation facilities available and are also provided with canteens and shops to hang out. The student run social group is new here in this university but students are showing active participation and have impact on students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The facilities provided are pretty much normal such as own study table, cupboard, bed, lights and balcony. The meals are average which rice, dal, potato on a daily at day and preference over veg or non-veg at night(4-5 days a week). The registration can be done through the universities website or through the student union and it's affordable.

Admission

I applied to st. Anthonys and st. Edmunda where i got admission but still i preferred NEHU because it was the only university available here and that too a central one. The other colleges were affiliates of NEHU and also didn't have law course in their curriculum. I didn't get rejected instead i was the one who rejected because of the reasons i cited above. Admission process is through CUET but i don't know the cut off since i took admission here during covid where i got admitted through merit but here tribals have increased cutoff of 10% in their marks while taking admission. The overall admission was good where i was interviewed by the faculty memebers of the university and then got admission.

Faculty

3

The relationship is pretty good and the faculties help the students but there is error sometimes as well while students try take admission or require something from the faculty. I liked every one from our faculty staff because they try to help us in every way possible and also show good gesture when approached but there are some( due to privacy reasons I'm not revealing the names) whom i don't have that much liking because of their nature and also their teaching method. Exams in one semester are held twice which is mid sem and end sem. It's pretty easy to pass but the marking system is not good because they still follow the previous years ( i guess 1998) marking system due to which students fail to score high marks. The course curriculum is relevant if compares to other universities or colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was great as the teachers there were young and compassionate. And the classes were full of interesting sessions. The teachers are like our buddies who make learning fun and easy, which helps us in gaining more confidence and building a circle which is full of sharing knowledge and learning from each other.

The university also have placement apportunity if not everyone gets also. The final semester students use to get the placement which is around 3.80LPA. Some of the company that visited like Amazon,Dell, Indian army , Accenture and so on and so fall. Most of the placement get by the excellent students and Excel in the study most of them are science students from B.tech and all. My plan after my degree is going to be tough but I will appear for competitive exams.

I don't have any specific aspects for choosing the course as it's only my father and my elder siblings who wants me to join in that course I was force to take that course. I don't really understand what's the question is it's a really tough for me sorry. There's no need of improvement in my college all are good all facilities faculties are structure are really good in my college, there's only one thing which I don't like is the ladies toilet light that's all otherwise everything is okay for me in my college. The timing for my exam is 3 hours they conducted morning either evening morning like 9 am to 12 pm and evening 1 pm to 4 pm The question they give its not that difficult I must say its all okay only but the thing is it's depends how you prepared.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the different types of interest that I have are present here in this course, and as I have said earlier that I have a keen interest in Law I don't have to think twice to choose this course. The curriculum is not up to the mark for applications in the real world, there are few discrepancies and inorder to match up the level outside we have to put a lot of efforts and leave no opportunities when we get them. Moot Courts should be conducted more often.
