What Students Say

Likes

The faculties are supportive ...all the teachers were well experienced
All the labs were well equipped and proper ventilation and adequate facilities were ensured
Soany courses were available in the college..special facilities were provided for backward communities

Dislikes

Student parties have so much involvement in the college..so several classes were missed due strikes
No special arrangements were included for physically challenged students..
Management fees collected from some students are little much high

Course Curriculum Overview

I am so much interested in plants..that is the reason why I selected to study the botany...the courses included is so much interesting and good for our development and uptodate...there several lab works also included in the course

Class Size: 47Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For admission I paid nearly 8000 rupees..then caution fees is 500 rupees.. different management fees are collected based on the index score and reserved categories...for sc and sct categories the feeses are.al.ost free...there several reservation categories for such backward communities..several scholarship were alloted for backward communities.For examinations the feeses for each sem were385 385 355 505 325 640

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities are well supportive and encouraging..spc jrc NCc are included..several annual sports and arts day were conducteed....apart from this college union also conducted several cultural programmes which helps the students to improve their talents

Admission

I applied for government Victoria College,SN college ,mercy Colleges of palakkad...first I got admission in Victoria College for Sanskrit option...but later on spot admission I got admission in nss college...this is reasonable distance from my home so I selected this college

Faculty

In my class there are almost 24 students...there are four faculties for our batch..the faculties are so supportive..I liked zereena viji mam..who is our assistant professor..she is very well supportive..several exams are conducted...internal exams are also conducted for our good improvement

Honesty

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course not because of curriculum.The syllabus is very bad and it doesn't really help to apply in real-world situations.I suggest that the practical exposure must be needed and give chances for students to apply in internships.The timing of exam actually stressed alot in even semesters due to shortage in classes.The faculty rushes to take class and also gives a load of work when the exam is near.
