Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is mostly application-based. The frequency and timings of exams are more like mid-semester and the difficulty level is higher as there is increasing competition among the students and the question paper from ICAR or outside.

Placement Experience

2

The UG course is not that advanced and they are working on it, compulsory placement is for upto 20-35 students out of 250 students which is somewhat poor. 3,4 banking companies visited and offered the placement. My plan is to apply for the entrance exam for banking.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee is 50,000 during the UG programme but every semester including development fees and the other compulsory charges during course completion of 4years, and equal for each category is upto 15,000 maximum. But it is 130000 for payment seat which is to be paid during admission but later yearly it was 80,000 per year And there is many scholarship for sc, st category i.e state scholarship of Odisha and there is a national scholarship for others, many meritorious also get out merit scholarships

Campus Life

3

Student-run social groups are there like athletic, dramatics, and literary societies are there. There are 3 days of festival for every society in a year. There is a central-look library, one can issue books related to agriculture and technology.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Here is a good government hostel for both boys and girls separately. It is quite affordable and the meal is good compared to other private hostels in the locality. You can register for a government hostel as there is proper hygiene is maintained.

Admission

Yes, I got a rejection Letter from other colleges although there is much more competition there than this and I got admitted to this university by the University entrance exam. The Cut-off is 96 -97 percentile.

Faculty

2.5

Faculties and student ratio is very low for every department as there is 250 students in each year. They do not consider the concepts and deep knowledge in the exam point of view only the number of words and length of the answer but there is 0 malpractice here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture is one of the important and relevant subjects out of all. If we say about Indian context then most of the people are dependent on agriculture. So in India it's relevance is very high. This curriculum consists all type of subjects like agronomy, soil science, economics, marketing, pathology, genetics and breeding, horticulture etc. this course is more based on practical than the theory. In our curriculum the mid sem occurs in the middle of the semester which is approx march in winter semester and in September- october in monsoon semester and the end semester exam held in end of the semester which is in December in monsoon semester and may in winter semester.

I generally loved how they showed they give 100% placements. But there is not any. The teaching methods however is very good as they give us mainly practical knowledge and skill based education. Which really helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As India is a agricultural country most people depends on agriculture so I choose this course that I think it might have more scope. Through this course, we covered both theory and practice; we planted crops, prepared the field, applied manure to the soil, and irrigated the field. The difficulty is not too hard, and there are about 4 exams in a year, which is very good. In this course we must visit the village and interact with village people know their problems and try to find solutions. In our college we are less interactive with village farmers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Agriculture course is highly vast and informative. This course actually provides economic knowledge about the food we consume in our daily life and also provides the information about how they are grown and taken care of by our hardworking farmers. And talking about the difficulty level it's actually easy and we just have to get involved in this course as much as we can. Improvement this course requires is to give proper guidance to our farmers and also to provide them with proper wages they deserve.
