Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think DU just by the name and I had to pursue my passion for anchoring so I chose the same. I think they do not prepare you for the industry at all because as I already said there was no well-equipped media lab where we could practice and no proper industry connections to provide us with placements.I think there should be a solid committee for teachers and students where they should openly complain about teachers too. Exams were after each semester. Difficulty level 7/10.

Internships Opportunities

3

I did two major internships that were offered by college. One was with IPC Infotech, where I had to create graphics and templates and promote their business. I successfully generated two leads and got them converted. The other one was a marketing internship with the Master's buddy. Masters buddy helped students to basically arrange the documents such as visa and LOR data required for, studying abroad and including shortlisting of their documents, I created an Instagram calendar for them, where there were reels and posts, what kind of posts to be made to expand and enhance their audience. The stipend of IPC was 18k in total and for masters buddy 14 k in total.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are there approx 3-3.5 lpais average placement. Last sem students become eligible. Zomato,Republic Tv,Dd news network, aswiggy and few more visited each had 3-4 job roles offered. Highest-4.5lpa,Lowest was of internship as 8k per month 60% got placed. I want to pursue an mba.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 18k per year. The registration fee was none. The examination fee we had to submit was 1k per semester. For sc/st non general the fee was refunded after one year. There is no scholarship available but yes for ewd and sc/st a fee waiver is available after all the checking of documents is done.

Campus Life

4

Annual fests and departmental fests were Yuvaan and Yatgarth. They are held in august and September. Number of books are there in the library. It is a hood two floored spacious place with books of every genre. Good facilities with new benches and smartboards in few. Good sports facilities rated 8/10. Societies played an important role in college life.If you are an introvert you should definitely be a part of any society of your interest and you would be a better person for sure in these three years.

Admission

You should be a 12th pass with min of 60%. The cuet score should be 290/400. Application forms can be found online. The application fee is none. Exams were held each semester. The difficulty level was moderate. Reservation benefits were just that you could get back the whole fee refunded.

Faculty

3

There were 5-6 subjects with different teachers. I think the faculty was well versed with course and knowledgeable too but did not want to assist the students regarding something else like their further studies etc. I did interact with few but they had a specific mindset about some so called "good" students and only put them forward for whenever there was any event or opportunity.

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Journalism was first introduced in Delhi University at DCAC. The amazing faculty and a proper media studio makes Delhi College of Arts and Commerce a perfect choice for Jouranlism aspirants. The media studio has professional mics, green screen, cameras, teleprompter, switcher and other equipment required for real life learning. The classes are full-fledged, sometimes irregular. Exams are scheduled at the end of each semester. However, internal and continous assesment happen regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.
