What Students Say

Likes

Teachers are very helpful to students Everytime.
Teaching method of teachers is also good. And all classes are with projectors.
Infrastructure of college is literally great. Whole college is surrounded by green trees.

Dislikes

Food in cafeteria is a little bit average.
Public transport is highly overloaded and college has less connectivity to city
Availability of accommodation and hostel is students responsibility college has no hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor's in computer science and engineering at model institute of engineering and technology is one of the best branches. Course is designed for the student in small parts and in a easy way. Students are approached to make skills and work on coddng and other development skills a lot.

Internships Opportunities

not much but a loot companies opt for internshimps at MIET jammu. lake infosys , adobe , goole also sometimes offer internship at miet. most companies include tat motors , tvs ,rvs global offers alot of internships

Placement Experience

Placement s are a little bit average due to lack of technology sector in the city. Students have to go for bigger cities to opt for placements. Companies coming for placements are offering approx 3 to 4 lakh of placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee is 96500. The total fee for the whole course is 386000. There is no scholarship for any category of students. Registration fee is 25000. And tuition fee is 60000. And other charges are11500.

Campus Life

Overall social life at campus is good. College is having a lot of clubs. You can also take part in different sports and tourlanaments are organised. Different student groups are also made. For student welfare.

Admission

There are two modes of Addmision one is direct on 12 th percentage. And other is kn the basques of JKCET cott off.jkcet is a state entrance every year around 110+ /180 gos out for cuttofs. Also if you are having 90+ percentage in 12th boards uh can get Addmision

Faculty

Faculty members are highly qualified and hardworking. Faculty are helpful to students. Faculty students ratio is 1 : 60. Faculty are always available for students for any kind of help. Faculty members are also interactive to the students

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.
