Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum includes a mix of theoretical problems and practical appliances with courses like C programming and sustainable development. College authority emphasizes on internships, and real-life industry projects ensuring students gain real-world experience. There is a large range of electives and options to specialize in different fields such as Water resources engg, Traffic engg, Airport and railway Engg. The civil engineering course is a combination of regular class exams and major exams. Its becomes a bit difficult if anyone opts for a double major and a double minor. The exam dates are sufficiently spaced out so that students can be well prepared. Attending the lectures makes the exams a bit easier and we get detailed reviews on the ERP web.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of IIT Hyderabad increases on a ragular basis , like it increases every year by some amount. So , my tuition fee is 1,00,000 per semester and total fees per semester is 1,61,964 for Gen/OBC/EWS and 61,964 for SC/ST . Hostel fees per semester is 15,000. For B.Design fees per semester is 1,01,964. The SC/ST/PH students get full remission on tuition fees. Also students with annual family income < 1 Lakhs get full fee remission and students with family income less than 5 Lakhs get 2/3rd of fee remission. Any student can opt for Vidyalaxmi Scheme, by which they can get loans to pay fees with zero interest for 4 years. I have applied for sub-ordinator position in TEDx Hyderabad, also i am associated with Tinkerers lab although they are non-profit organisation.

Campus Life

5

The two major fests in IIT Hyderabad are Elan and Nvision, the former is the cultural fest and the latter is the technical fest. These are held generally in March. The library has a huge amount of book collections from all Engineering branches, including story books , art books, Japanese books, books and journals published by the institute itself. The lecture halls and classrooms are equipped with highspeed wifi and central A.C., also there is a 75-inch display unit, and a podium stand ready for speakers to take the stage, while microphones ensure their voices are heard with clarity. There is a huge and luxurious sports complex in our campus, where you can find every sport including Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table tennis, Long tennis, Chess, carrom, Running and Swimming. There is a club called Sunshine run by students to ensure Students' mental health, there are professional Psychologists to take care of depressed students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Double-sharing hostel rooms are provided with two-bed cots, two study table, two almirahs, two tube lights, one small light, one night light and one fan. New hostels are equipped with radiant technology. You will get boiled egg and milk in common every breakfast accompanied with different foods, also biriyani is served every Sunday night. Also, sweets or fried eggs are given every dinner, else you can buy different non-veg food also. Food is hygienic, tasty and filling. A mix of north and south Indian food is served. Most of the time you will get veg food according to the mess menu and have to pay extra money for non-veg. Like Omelet for 10 rs, Egg bhurji for 25 rs, Chicken curry for 45 rs etc. Although the food is a little bit spicy. During admission you can opt for hostels and hostels fees are 15,000 per semester.

Admission

You have to clear the JEE ADVANCED examination with flying colours to get the chance of getting admitted to IIT Hyderabad , for civil engg the cutoff is around 7-8k. After clear JEE ADV you have to apply for JOSAA counselling, IIT Hyderabad takes admission through JOSAA counselling. If you get IIT Hyderabad in the JOSAA rounds, you have to then apply in the IIT Hyd admissions form and pay fees in that site. I haven't availed any reservation benifits. Well, there are many surprise class tests and tests once in every week, and major semester tests happen once in every 6 months. The tests are challenging bur fair. They should improve the payment site as sometimes there are technical errors.

Faculty

5

In my branch faculty to student ration is 1:5. This low ratio ensures that students receive personalized attention and advice, resulting a more engaging and effective learning experience. Most faculty members hold Ph.Ds, in their specified fields and have extensive knowledge about their fields. Faculties are associated with research and numerous publications in premier journals. Teaching and mentorship approach:

Placement Experience:

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.
