Campus was good , very big and beautiful
Extra curriculars were fun , cultural fest is very fun

Dislikes

Faculty was bad with near to no experience in the field
It is considerably deep inside a jungle and can cause transport problems

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum did not help me at all , everything i learnt was from personal rnd. Very few softwares were taught to be used effectively and were not as helpful. Also industry standards were barely being taught

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

There were no hikes during my degree, there were no compulsory charges alongside my fee which was around 56000 per semester. I had a scholarship of 20% because of my board marks. I worked in the photography club of the college for half a year.

Campus Life

Aminova was the cultural fest and it was really fun , animation department celebrated world animation day as our huge fest. Library did not have any books for animation , the facilities and technology were extremely lackluster with incredibly underpowered computers in the lab , slow network and broken down hardware. We were not given any licenses for programs or any on the lab computers

Admission

There was next to no eligibility requirements .i did not appear for uceed , i had to give an sop and the form was filled on campus. The exams were extremely easy. Exams were conducted once per semester.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio was good , had some faculty take multiple courses . Some of the faculty fell short in teaching proper industry skills. Teachers were always available to help. A lot of the faculty has left and im sure our course less than required faculty

i like drawing so i went for animation and vfx they tell us alot of stuff from the industry beacuse the teachers worked there for years so yeah pretty good advice 2 finals exams and class tests depends on the teacher

Placement Experience:

on 6th semester we get qualify. I am still in my 5th sem so I still havent recieved the placements. I dont know that yet.. my plan is to do the normal job after my degree and open my own animation studio after getting handful of expirence.

My experience at SID

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in their 3rd year. They get summer internships and can do freelance work as well. Companies such as Infosys, Cognizant, Whirlpool, etc. recruit students from SID. The average package is around 10 LPA with the highest for this year being around 18 LPA. As of 2022, the percentage of students getting placements is 100%. As an animation student, I have various options to explore such as VFX Artist, Cartoonist, Visual Storyteller, etc. after my degree.

I had applied to manipal university, nmims university and amity University. And I honestly I loved the subjects and the curriculum the best here in amity. Moreover, the course that I was interested in had just started in manipal and nmims university hence I wasn't sure about how the course would turn out and amity on the other hand had this course for over 5-6 years which gave me the confidence in the effectiveness of the course.
