Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is very vast and comprises of many subjects. The students have to deal with approximately 12 subjects per semester and it can get quite hard as we have to balance both field activities and theory aspects together while scoring good marks

Internships Opportunities

4.5

We get a 3 month internship with agriculture based companies placed in and around Bangalore and after that there will be a 3 month hands on training for students. The intership is compulsory and on field practicals is good.

Placement Experience

3

Campus placements are available only after course completion. Namdhari Seeds and other agro based companies visit for placement. Almost all the students get placed without any issues. I intend to pursue entrepreneurship after college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of the college could've been a lot lesser than what it is and for the facilities provided. For 135000 per semester, they could maintain the labs a lot better than what it is now. In our 7th semester, we will have an on field village development program where we will be sent to work and improve technology for farmers and show them new methods and ideas while physically working on field developing farms.

Campus Life

3

The library has vast amount of books related to agriculture but the college itself lacks any proper cultural activities, and honestly it's better because they make us conduct the whole thing with a lottt of restrictions which just removes all the fun. So culturally, this college has nothing.

Hostel Facilities

3

The room comes with 2 bunk beds, 2 desks, 2 chairs and 2 metal cupboards in which only half is provided to the students which can become very congested. They overall hostel experience is not good but the food is edible.

Admission

You need to have passed the 12th grade with a minimum of 60 percent. The application form and all details are available on the website. The hostel fees are lower for people from other states. We have 3 exams per semester where the third exam will be the final.

Faculty

4.5

The effectiveness of the teaching staff is wonderful and the teachers have good interaction with students, but the management could be better. The faculty are highly qualified and are all PHD holders in their subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was very well structured with both theoretical and Practical exposure. The curriculum is designed in such a way that they are very relevant to real world , this also prepare the students to the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The improvements can be made in the practical part of the courses. There must be regular field visits and utilisation of funds to bring innovation. The internal exam would be after 2 to 2.5 months after the commencement of the semester and practical exams would be immediately after 10 days of the internals. The external or final exams would be after a month of practical exams. There will be enough time to prepare for the exams from the commencement of the semester but there will be no study holidays and gaps between the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the subjects that are included in the course are really important to survive in the agriculture sector if someone wants to build career. These courses teaches from fundamentala to advanced technology covering each and every aspect of this field. I think practical experience plays very important role in preparing students for the real world challenges rather than theory. So college has to give more importance to practical classes and conduct field classes more often rather than classroom teaching. Exams schedule and difficulty level is at par
