Entrance Preview
Sir Parshurambhau College or S.P. College as it is known more popularly is one of the top colleges for commerce . It has a very respectable and glorious history of 100 years and any alumni of this college will undoubtedly tell you that his experience here was best not only because of academics but also for the extra curricular and cultural activities conducted in the college! Events like Maven,Urmee German festival,etc bringout the best in you along with academics and you get to learn the applicayof knowledge that you have gained. The teaching faculty here is very polite and knowledgeable.The senior teachers have a teaching experience which is usually more than the age of a average student learning under them and the junior teachers bring the advanced and modern day techniques of making learning interactive and interesting. The college is very much supportive to the ideas brought by students for various things. All in all the best one can ask for!
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is more of a theory based rather than practical applicability but this is set by univeryand not by college so can’t help it but the curriculum is pretty old and out dated it needs to be updated as laws have changed significantly in the recent times!
Internships Opportunities
I have no idea about this so I can’t really comment anything on the same . The college is huge and maybe or maybe not they provide internship
Placement Experience
Placements do not happen directly by the college but college does tie up with some outside like baja finserv,etc. which conduct placements and job opportunities which are reasonably good for the kind of educational level the students are at while they complete college level .
College Events
Events like maven which is more academic oriented,then urmee which is a cultural event in college,german festival,geography festival,cyclathon,debates mock parliament,etc are organised in the college which help in the overall development of the students and give them experience of the outside world while managing them!
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible and suits everyone’s pockets and is nominal in terms of facilities and quality of teaching provided for the same. Fees are not at all exorbitant just enough to cover The expenses incurred by the college to provide facilities to the students.

No as far as my knowledge is concerned I don’t think that there is any scholarship or loan facility is provides by the college.
Campus Life
The campus life in S.p.College was is and will always be amazing the reasons being a humungous campus with lush green trees all around And very clean surroundings. The gender rationis like 60:40 but not at all influenced by a specific gender for sure!all the extra curricular activities are present in campus especially the sports being a highlight. The cultural team called a “Kala mandal” is a highlight of this college
Hostel Facilities
I was a localite while attending the college so i have no clue about the hostel and mess facilities but as far as heard about them by the fellow students it is reasonable just like any other college nothing special or must to be mentioned kind of thing .
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is not that great as there is not much of records present and also no such alumni coordinator in the college.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is pretty much generic which includes quarterly and half yearly exams in which halfyearly exams /semesters are of more importance and the correction of these examinations is done by the college for all except for the final examinations where the university does the correction
Admission
There is a central form that is to be filled after the results of 10th examination in which a preference list of colleges is to be filled and after that if you are selected in the college desired by you on the basis of cut off list of that particular college then you have to start the admission process of that college,in this case being S.P. College for which you need to fill the online form first and then physically submit the same along with the fees and other supporting documents and then your admission process is completed when you are allotted the division and roll number.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is just amazing as i said they score full marks in their knowledge ,communication ,politeness, understanding the students,etc. The faculty is not only well versed with the bookish knowledge but also have a knowledge of the current affairs and the application of their respective subjects to these current affairs.
