Remarks
The college management should be just fine if they'd give the students a bit more freedom in terms of attendance as well as choosing some extra-curricular activities and participation in outside colleges.
Entrance Preview
I took the GUJCET and scored a meagre 30 marks in it after which I took admission in the college through online admission portal.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum, all in all, covers most aspects related to field, yet, at times, fails to provide the necessary practical approach which is used in real world.
Internships Opportunities
Some local companies did visit the college, but none of them offered any stipend during the internship period. Companies like Prakash infotech, Advanced Computer Systems, Acty systems, etc all visited the campus to provide training and internship experiences but didn't emphasise on providing stipend or anything like that.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities in fields like IT and Computer are excellent, though the average packages are not very great but the opportunities are more than enough. The average package in these fields I'd say is just about 2.5-3 lakh per annum, with the highest package being 3.7 lpa.
College Events
The college organises an annual technical symposium named Prakarsh. The event is done on quite a large scale and people from whole of the state visit and participate in the various events, where along with technical events, we have some non-technical fun events as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are feasible and is in the range of Rs. 60, 000 per year. The ROI seems to be good as most students in the department such as ours are placed and are offered decent packages through which the entire expense of the course can be covered in the first year of job itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college gives some accolades including cash prices to those with highest attendance throughout a term as well to those who stand top in the University as well as the college itself. Also the college supports the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) proposed by the University, so as to provide education free of tuition fee to some underprivileged.
Campus Life
The extra-curricular activities provided by the college are being improved day-by-day. The Gender Ratio is efficiently provided in the college as well as there is open mindedness as well, barring some of the things like compulsory attendance and prayer.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facilities provided by the college. However, one can find a good bite in the college canteen itself for a reasonable price.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are always helpful. Though in the beginning it may seem as the seniors are non-cooperative but once, the students start to gel with their seniors, they'd know it was just a wrong notion.
Exam Structure
The exam structure sometimes gets very hectic due to the days of submission being close to the exam dates as well and so the students sometimes feel they've lesser time to prepare for the exams after being done with the submissions.
Faculty
The faculty of college is mostly helpful and supportive. But, at times, they lack the practical experience to enlighten students about how really the system works in practice.
