Likes

Great placement and environmental is very good lot of greenary
Faculty members are very helpful and well knowledgeable with most of them are phd holders
Size of campus is 380 acres approx .many things to explore

Dislikes

Drinking water facility some times bad and not available
Attendance 75% but yeah they allow below 75% also and yes there is a marks for attendance . So it is good

Course Curriculum Overview

We all know about bachelor course so yeah i chose mechanical engineering because i like automobile . And yeah u can persue your dream branch and nothing to sau about placements it is record break . Exam is 2 time per semester like mid sem and end sem .

Internships Opportunities

There are lot of internship opportunity no doubt like most companies visit JSL tata steel . JSPL . And many more . Amazon . Also visit . So yeah there is a opportunity and stipend depends on role and company sometimes it was 50000 or 70000 also . Also they offer PPO after completing the internship .

Placement are record breaking 7th semester onwards company start visiting our campus . Many companies like Microsoft amazon flipkart Deloitte icici bank .axis bank axxela blackrock capillary atlasian and many more u can take reference from nit jamshedpur Placement linkdein profile . Highest package offered 83 lpa Avg 12 lpa 93% Placement till now for batch 2024 and its still going .

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah there is. A lot of scholarship available and fee waiver is also available. Complete cost is approx 8 lakh including all types of fees . Scholarship name are NSP. Also u can avail from you state government also .

Campus Life

Technical fest is ojass . And sports fest urjaa and annual fest is also there like. Kalash mostly annual fest conducted on feb to march . Yeah library have good amounts of books whichever u need u will get the books . Many clubs are there ...daksh . Revanata .team rays .ahwaan .phocus . And many more visit offical website for further assistance

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is superb after 1st yr means 2nd yr onwarda u will given a single room per students .. that's quite satisfying . Mega hostek J and K are two famous hostel in nit jsr u can watch fhe videos also in utube . Mega mess is there for this two hostel and food is good as comoared to other collegea.

Admission

Admission process is through josaa by your valid score of jee . Yeah there is reservation as usual whatever in other colleges like sc st and also female .quota . Admission proceas is too smooth if u have valid score card and rank

Faculty to students ratios is quite good . There is no problem regarding the ratio..all the faculties are well educated . Teaching methods is good... Every time yoi can solve your doubts just go to their cabins and u can talk and solve ur query .

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

My 1st Encounter with the College

Remarks:

Outstanding faculties having a good depth of knowledge.. Well interactive. Ideas and Knowledge is easily projected by them. They follow a stringent standards while conducting experiment, viva-voice in labs. Their teaching style and attitude is good and generally the language of interaction between student and faculty is English. So in a nutshell the faculty is up to the mark and satisfactory.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
