Likes

Faculty is very cooperative and supportive.
College clubs conduct many events and also with the help of these clubs enhancement of skills are done.

Dislikes

Placements are not so good in KC which affects a lot and causes trouble in off-campus placements.
The infrastructure of the college is average not so overwhelming
Canteen is small and contains less food and sometimes the place is crowded and untidy.

Course Curriculum Overview

Engineering is all about coding and practical knowledge , but the course has more theory compartively but it's upto you to increase your skills and get a job. The overall course is about the specific branch you choose like after 2nd year the curriculum is all about your choosen branch (eg:Computer)

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 61678 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are offered in college which are not so good . The range lies between 2 lpa to 7 lpa , sometimes reaches to 10 or 12 lpa. Mostly students opt for off campus placements or masters which is a better option. Enhance your skills and get a good job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies on the basis of reservation like Open , OBC , SC/ST , etc . If you are under OBC , you will get 50% concession on your fees compared to open students have to pay full fees i.e 1,20,000 might vary.

Campus Life

Cmapus or Club life is good in Kc as you'll find many clubs such as NSS, Rotarct , Student Council, etc. You'll experience a better college life with these clubs . It's helps in growth in factors such as networking , communication skills , etc. Library is also available in college which has no. of books accademic as well as others. The infrastructure of the college is not so good and has small campus , there's no ground in the college.

Admission

There are no entrance or ant other process for admission , you just have to follow the CAP round and on the basis of your CET percentile if you are eligible and fit in proper cut off you get allot to the college. If you have good percentile there are chances of getting a good college. In 2022 , the cut off for KC was 85 percentile , every year it changes.

Faculty

Faculty is supportive and their teaching method is also good which helps in make things understand in a better way. Teachers also guides or mentors if any problem has arisen. The only problem is that the faculty count is low.

Sem 6 is considered preferable for the college placement many students starts getting placed from that, many companies like wipro, mahindra & mahindra, tcs, capgemini, etc. visits each year to the college each and every students gets atleast a offer to them few also gets more than one like 2 to utmost 3 also,750+ students got offered at the final year of 2023 if we include internship offer than it goes more than 1200, in campus highest package was 12lacs off campus was 62lacs, (85%)+ of the students gets placed each year in the college. After i get degree i would try for college placements and would also focus parallely for the off campus placements too, and ofc wherever i will get the highest placement i would go for it.

This college has a very big Alumni network. Because this college is started in 1982. And its highest package is 300000 and its average package is 4.5 lakh. And the graph of placement increases year by year.

K.C College of Engineering Thane

When the CAP round was going on, I applied for most of the colleges which were nearby to me. Some from Navi Mumbai and 3 colleges from Thane including mine. I have 83.6 percentile in MHT-CET exam and based on that I got allotted in this college in 2nd round of CAP. I had remaining two options for college in Thane the first A.P Shah Institute of Technology and the other one VPM's College. But I chose kc college over both of them because they were far away from my house and it's routes were very complicated. So when I got allotted in this college I freezed my seat and took hassle free admission in this college. I had some insight about the college as my brother was a student of EXTC Branch here. He told me about the pleasant environment, supporting faculty, placement support and the awesome fests he was a part of during his student tenure.
