Likes

I liked the infrastructure of college especially because college is newly built classrooms are modern and spacious
Hostel building is decent, in room they provide table which is too good and different sports court and ground are also there
This college take admission on jee advanced rank so peers are good

Dislikes

Placement is pathetic here they do not have any dedicated placement support for Computer and Electronic branch especially.
Faculty is new so they do not know how to teach and what to teach they are just teaching random things
No single room is in hostel for each year and college is in outskirts

Course Curriculum Overview

As I tell earlier course curricular, they teach material science and thermodynamic to CSE and ECE Students and sometimes the curriculum changes at the very last time and they introduce new subjects and electives are not electives that are compulsory subjects

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 108300 tution fees and extra 20000 for hostel each semester so approximately it is above 10 laks which I do not consider paying for this college and if you can not pay fees there are loan facility is also there and scholarship is also there like UP scholarship for UP students

Campus Life

There are many clubs in college like for sports, Robotics, Science and Research and Coding, and many different societies. And fests are also organised like energia that is for sports and Urjotsav is tech fest and Kaltarang that is cultural fest.

Hostel fees is 20000 per semester and college is in outskirts so you can check for that and if you are studying in college you to stay in college there is no other option and single accomodation is not for every year you have to share the room with someone.

Admission

Earlier this college used to take admission based on the JEE Advanced Rank but now they also start to admission on the basis of JEE Mains which hampers the quality of students I got selected on the basis JEE Advanced rank my rank was around 18000 and I got CSE and after cut off also goes down so you can get idea whther you will get admission or not and reservation is also there like other colleges in INDIA

Faculty is new for computer and electronic branch so they do not have much experience in teaching and curriculum is also very pathetic not designed well, they just randomly teach other branch things to students for example they teach thermodynamics to ECE and CSE students

Placement Experience:

Till six semester students become eligible to sit for placement recruitments. As placement rate is low so most of the students prefer to persue pg after qualifying GATE or CAT. Many companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro etc. Visits the campus for Recruitment but placement is totally based on the skills and knowledge of the students. Campus provides very calm and clean environment and ample time to involve yourself in any exam preparation. No one is their to hamper your studies. Library is available 24×7 and one could utilize it very judiciously. Highest package reached in my course is approx 10 lakhs and Avg. Package is of 6.75 lakhs offered by the Company. Approx 5 to 10% students are placed Based on their skills. My plan is to preapare for UPSC simultaneously along with my btech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty was not bad but sometimes they will not attend the class due to this student not being interested to attend the classes. Also, this college removes the b.tech course from the next session may be. though the faculty taught really well. It takes only pharak courses.

RGIPT expensive education , low placement support

Honest Review Of RGIPT

The most important thing that mattered to my parents which caused them to take interest in this college was that it is a central government college and an institute of national importance on top of that. Also, other colleges I was getting were either too far away or were very expensive. Although according to a government college, RGIPT's fees is also very high but still lesser when compared to the others I was applying to. For admission, we have to fill out the form. The eligibility criteria is that you should have JEE Advanced rank. If the seats after allocation through Advanced are vacant, those are filled through JEE mains rank. Slightly Satisfied Overall

I went for the sake of Govt. college name which turned out of no use as teaching and support is very bad. Also my course name is just a gimmick. Our college admits students on JEE Advanced and for left over seats they use JEE Mains Score. Till 90 percentile in JEE Mains students can get this college. I was getting a better branch in this collage with more opportunities. But when I saw my other college list that I got there was the lower branches. So instead of getting good colleges like IIITs and BIT Mesra and having lower branches. I choose to come to RGIPT which is also a reputed name but with a great booming branch.
