Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course BSc agriculture because the course is very interesting to study and learn. We can interact with nature our surroundings and also agricultural aspects to help our country to grow and feed the whole population of our country. By doing this course we can deal with basic food production, food processing, plant genetics, breeding, pest management, etc. Practicals and real-time learning should be improved. Two-semester exams are helpful. It has 8 semesters and in one semester 2 exams are held 1st mid-term and 2nd end term the gap between the exams is of 2 months. Exam period 1 month.

Placement Experience

2.5

After 8 semester students are eligible for placements. Average package 6lakhs and highest 14 lakhs per annum. About 70%- 80% of students get placement. Agricultural companies visit their, food processing companies too. My senior got a placement this year. I'm 2nd year student now so I didn't get any placements now.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly course fee is 40,000. If you're far away from college then the bus is a good option. The bus fee of 6 months (1 semester) is 10,000. If you're from Jharkhand then you will get a 10 % discount on your semester fees which is 4000 off. + 3000 examination fees. Above or 80% get a discount on semester fees. Government scholarships like the ekalyan or central scholarship program are available. Students can also take loans at low interest from the college. Different course students get scholarships according to their fees.

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure is good but more trees and plants should be grown to make the campus green and look good. Annual fest are held in the month of February. And small programs are held frequently. A wide range of books are available according to the course subject so no need to buy a book just issue it from the library. Extracurricular activities help in regular intervals and are very good.

Admission

No entrance exam is needed. You can apply online from the office website of the University. Reservation for St, sc, obc is available. Two-semester exams are held in a year in which two exams are held in 1 semester one is mid-term and another or last is an end-term examination. 2 months timing between these examinations. The admission process is easy. Just fill out the form online then you will get a call to be present there for further process with the required documents. Offline forms can also be filled.

Faculty

4.5

Facility members of my university are highly qualified. They have done a PhD. They are very friendly and supportive. They encourage every student to participate in any program. They are well-mannered and have a very good personality. They help each and every student in their studies and help them to remove their doubts.

After 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. There is also internships provided during the last semester which is a good oppotunity for placement. Each year 8 to 10 companies or more visits for the placements. Many students are interested in higher degrees after graduation, so they also go for post graduation and doctorate.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for placement in the 8th Semester. You have on campus as well as off campus placement. Students had grabbed good placements in various private firms mostly banking with an average package of 4-6 LPA. Since I am a first year student. I don't know much about placement and Internships. But you will get more opportunities in this university than any other agricultural university in this state. And in the coming future, the demand will increase for agriculture graduates. Most students who don't take placements prepare for JRF and higher studies or prepare for PCS and various vacancies in both government and private firms providing good posts and salaries. There are many more options to explore than you know now. You will get to know many more options from your professors and seniors.
