Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was good and it was ordered but the teaching standards must be improved and teachers should not always focus on completing the chapters at the time scheduled they should think about the understanding of students. The exams are on time, and the question papers are moderate.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities were not at all provided because the college restricted them and only those companies that are tied up with college are only allowed to give internships and internships are also not so good just making the students do their small works.

Placement Experience

Placements was good but not better we need to focus on studies and they will not teach everything and i started practising programming on 2nd year itself and i was placed at hcl technologies with my own knowledge only and only companies do come.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was a bit high when I was studying at that time it was around 145000 per year now it was too much increased it is nearly 400000 per year now for CSE and it was very much higher for this much money they need to increase the teaching standards and when you write an exam conducted in a university, scholarships are given when you score a good mark.

Campus Life

It was good and I always focused on my studies and so I am not very familiar with social aspects, clubs but the culture was good and the students were not so involved in studies but they were involved in clearing those exams. The library was clean and big. All books are there in the library.

Admission

the admission was simple and i havent written that scholarship exam and so i was placed at merit and they told to pay the amount of 10000rs for registration of the student and they will not deduce that amount on tuition fees and they only give that upon completion of the course

Faculty

The faculties were good and the teaching was good but the faculties would teach you the things that are practical they only teach you the basics and they don't teach anything practically and labs are also just for showing purposes.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.
