Likes

Vel Tech university has students from many states and also from foreign coutries which allows the students to learn how to socialise and helps to learn different cultural activities.There also provide hostel for students with gym, park etc.
Vel Tech University has many clubs such as arts club, dance club, music club ,NCC , NSS etc., for students to learn more extra curricular activities. They also conduct many workshops and seminars to enhance student's knowledge.
Vel Tech follows choice based credit system through which students are able to select and read the courses according to their interest.

Dislikes

As a day scholar , Vel Tech's timing is not effective for travelling. Even if the students pay bus fee they are not providing bus after a certain time .
When compared to other colleges , Vel Tech has less cultural events.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum has been selected and provided to students according to their level of difficultness and the need for the subject knowledge in real world . The students are being provided pre-requisite courses to complete before starting the new course which will make it easier for the students to learn. Many workshops and seminars are conducted to students regularly which helps students to enhance their knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure in vel Tech is pretty good when compared to other colleges and universities. Scholarships are being provided to students according to their marks in entrance exam conducted by the University itself. Placements training are being provided to students every sem. Many internship offers are provided to students from many well settled companies. Students are provided with research opportunities in various countries .

Campus Life

This university conducts a unique 3 day cultural festival called "lavaza" every year during February or March and students are allowed to show their talents and have fun with their friends. The infrastructure in Vel Tech University is designed well. It has separate libraries for each department with computers with internet facility. It has many clubs facilities like dance club, music club , arts club, NCC and NSS to enhance the extra curricular activities of students. They conduct blood camps and marathons for students to contribute to society.

Admission

They conduct entrance for admission and the students are provided with scholarships according to their marks. Since it was pandemic during my admission so I went through an online entrance exam. They asked questions from maths, physics and chemistry. The level of difficulty was moderate.

The faculties in Vel Tech are very well educated and friendly. Every students are provided with a mentor to guide them. Frequent meetings are conducted and reviews and suggestions are collected from students about faculties and courses.

The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly

everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

My bad campus life

The environment is very good.its very natural atmosphere.
Teaching and facilitys are nice.we can learn very much.
The all facility is near by near .its a good thing.

Dislikes

The management is very bad.they not consider our students.
The fees structure is very different for all students.its too bad.and they decided the fees category is very cheep.
The hostel facility is not good.and also food its very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.

Before admitting in Vel Tech, I've applied in Quaid E Millath, Queen Mary's College, Nandanam Arts college, Presidency college.I chose Veltech over these because It helps me financially and academically.Even though i had less marks Veltech admitted me. Yes I did get a rejection from other colleges due to my less performance in 12th Standard. It happened because of my medical issues.
