Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because I wanted to do something useful to people who suffer mentally and I chose this course in our college because many people who did UG and PG from there tolde UCC is the best college which has the best psychology department. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications very practically. I think there nothing to improve in course curriculum and teaching method as it is good now. Exams are not that difficult easy if we study in day to day basis. But exams are very late and they often change the dates of exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Comparing to other colleges our tuition fees are low. The scholarships which we have are e-grants which is provided by government and higher education scholarship etc.I haven't undertaken any campus employment.

Campus Life

5

My experience on campus is very good. Our college provides different awareness programs and other programs which are good for students. I am in the kandal(mangrove) club and nature club. As part of the kandal club, we did many things like planting new kandal saplings. And as part of the nature club we cleaned our campus.

Admission

Admission process was not that much bad or difficult. I got admission through merit and in 3rd alllotment. Admission processes first process was to apply online for which courses we need and the colleges we need. The only think that is a bit problem is we needed to apply separately for different universities which is a bit money draining.

Faculty

4.5

We have enough faculty members to teach. We haven't had situation to postponed any classes because of one teacher. All faculty members teach very effectively. They don't spoon feed which is very good. We can interact with teachers even after college time, we can message or call them to ask any doubt. They are all available most of the time.

The B.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum at St.Teresa's College is comprehensive, focusing on practical applications and advanced topics . However more hands on experience and updated teaching methods could enhance learning. Exam frequency is reasonable, but some could be more challenging.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is a booming industry in the world. I had selected this course hoping to achieve a successful career here in India. Little did I know that biotechnology had not picked up its pace yet in India. The exams conducted was frequently with 1 or 2 model exams in each semester for theoretical and practical. This helped us to have enough basic knowledge when we finally pass out. It would be better if more internships and industrial visits are included in the syllabus. It would give a better idea about our future. It will also help us to boost our resume. The jobs in biotechnology offers low salary here but large varities of experience can be gained. This helps us to have a better career outside of India.

St. Berchmans is definitely one of the top rated arts and degree college existing in Kerala. There are various opportunities for students in improve at various fronts. But at the same time, the college doesn't provide much actual support for the students for their after college life. This poses as a great difficulty and confusion for students completing their UG or PG from this place.
