Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS is well respected field in this society. My dream to become a doctor, since I was 8 years old, came true when I took admission to RGMC college. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications by making us capable to face challenges, have practical approaches in times of panic, use our knowledge in the right manner at the right time. Areas of improvement could be improved facilities and equipments, better training, proper usage of time etc. Frequency of exams is 4 times in one year : two formatives and one preliminary exam, then finally university exam. Timing of exam is 10am to 1pm , that is 3 hours. Difficulty level is set higher than university pattern for better practice of students.

Internships Opportunities

4

Well... I am in first year now , so I don't have much idea about the companies and roles offered under internships with stipend. But I know that after completion of final year, the students have to do internship in our college itself sir one year. There are on-call services which have to be provided even overnight !! I am quite young to comment much on this, and would realize it once I experience it myself !!

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Tution Fee 139000 for open category. It is around 14000 for reservations. There are separate fees for library, Gymkhana, and exam fees. Scholarship programs are available for all the students, which provide amazing financial assistance. Campus employment opportunities are also available, but I haven't tried yet.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is amazing, I really love to be there with my friends. Social interactions have increased in my life. Club involvement is also there, I sometimes visit it. Infrastructure of the college is just amazing , classes are air conditioned and benches are well maintained. Annual festivals are there including sports events called RANANGAN, held in month of May. The library has a wide range of books and journals, students have access to all the books. It is an amazing library and students avail maximum benefit from it.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facility is also nice. In one room we have 3 beds ,3 cupboards, 3 tables, 3 chairs , 4 lights and 2 fans. The food is provided by various tiffin services. There is a wide range of variety and quality of food is also nice and hygienic. Registration for hostel is very easy , just one application form for hostel. The hostel fees is very affordable, 4010 rupees, and provides much cheaper accommodation than the private rented accommodation. Just the problem is that the hostel is not in the college campus , so students have to travel to reach college which is kind of expensive!!

Admission

NEET is the entrance exam given to enter MBBS. The cut off went high in 2023 to about 629 marks compulsory to get admission in RGMC for open category !! The admission process was very smooth. We had to submit documents, a list of the documents to be submitted was already provided to all the students. The academic department staff were really nice and helpful to help arrange all documents properly. The application form, fees and dates were posted on WhatsApp group of the college to give idea to all the parents and students. Reservation benefits are in fees. It was a good experience.

Faculty

5

Their are sufficient faculty members in all the three departments of three subjects. Faculty to student ratio is 10:100 approximately. Faculty's approach to teaching and mentorship is commendable, they are very passionate about their work and wish to provide the best teaching experience to their students. They even guide students in stress and help us manage non-academic challenges as well. They are very approachable and any student can interact with them whenever he/she finds any difficulty in life . During practicals the faculty to student ratio is 5:25 . The best possible teaching methods are used. Demonstrations of the practicals are done perfectly by the senior expert teachers, followed by theoretical explanations.

I wanted always to cure people. Also, I come from rural areas where there are very less doctors. So I want to change this situation and bring health facilities to my area. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is under Competency Based Medical Education it is with competencies in each subject and it helps very well to conquer at each and every subject. The practicals are also very well taught so that you can get hands on in every type of equipment and knowledge about all the things. Medical field in itself is very hard to chase but the difficulty level is quite impresssive in our curriculum it maintains the academic level of the college and University. The timing is also well matched keeping in mind with all the holidays and preparatory time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always was drifted towards medicine the thought of having a scalpel itself was so mesmerizing! There is one asst professor per 50 students And on the dissection table or in small groups, we have 1 teacher per 9-10 students The teachers are highly qualified some are from AFMC some from well-reputated colleges We have a lecture then practical followed by a small group discussion of that topic mostly in anatomy Exams are quite regularly held and are definitely not easy to pass! They follow the pattern of MUHS but as per info, it was more difficult than that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty is experienced and the majority of the professors are good at teaching. The course curriculum is as what is specified by MCI. Regular classes. Disciplined study environment. They teach you what would be required for you to crack the NEET PG exam. I wish they would take up more research projects.
