Honest Review of IPEC, Ghaziabad

I chose Data Science because of its rising demands as well as never-ending data. College doesn't provide much guidance for this subject. Each semester has 4 rounds of exams conducted in which 2 are sessionals each of 45 marks and Pre-University Exam more like the pre-boards are of 100 for every credited subject and the last one is the final exam i.e. university test these are of 100 marks conducted by AKTU. Internal marks are given on the basis of marks of Sessionals and PUT out of which only the best 2 are considered for markings. The Level of each examination is usually moderate, but a few times it can be difficult. Quantum is the book preferred by the students to get passing marks in the exams. The course must be focused on real-life and practical knowledge, for a student to pass the exam they needed to score collectively 60 marks (i.e., 30 marks internals + 30 marks externals).

Overall fees per year are 1,15,000 excluding examination fees. It can be increased or decreased by 1500 rupees approximately. On the start of each semester, students have to pay full fees if one isn't able to then they are required to do some paper work for submit a partial fee which is time-consuming. There is a policy in which each year topper is provided with some cash prize or some fee waiver.

Udbhav is organised in month of April or May yearly as annual fest which is celebrated for two days with fun filled activites, DJ Night and Celebrity Night. Also on the last days of Navratri Dandiya Night is organized which is not worth attending, it isn't grand as fest. Annual Sports meet named as Spardha is organized with every department compete with eachother. Central library have various books and journals along with latest newspapers and magazine to read. There is dedicated reading room for students to study and discuss. There are various clubs and societies led and functioned by students with differnet domain. Some popular clubs are Nrityakshetra(Dance Society), Inayat(Drama society), Aeronatica(Building Drones and other models), ACM (programming and computer society)

For direct addmission, one must have class 12 mark sheet, certificate, migration, character certificate alog with JEE Exam result. While taking addmission one must know about the documents required if you are opting for non-direct admission then you need to take AKTU entrance exam and according to its result counseling is held. Obviously taking direct admission have its own disadvantages like fee difference. If a student took admission from counseling they need to pay fees in some thousands but via direct admission, you are supposed to pay approximately 1lakh.

There is 1 teacher on every 40-50 students in a class. A few teachers are genuinly there for students to guide them, their method of teaching is excellent one can understand and learn the concept in the class. But most of the teachers are only for earning and don't give proper time to students and their teaching is horrible. Newly hired faculties are mostly freshers or interns while few have great experience. Old faculties have good experience teach well but some of them are biased and wants gossips from students. Interaction between a student and their teacher depends on both of them, on the other hand some faculty staff are unapproachable.
