Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course was electronics and computer engineering. The reason I took this course is because it includes both hardware as well as software topics of computer and this is what they'll teach you in the course. There will 2 exams in 1 semester, 1 mid sem exam and 1 end sem.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placements are not upto the mark. Many students in my class were left unplaced(about 40%). But you'll get placement if you have skill but don't expect a higher Lpa job. Overall about 30-40% students are still unplaced I got placed in IBM with a package of 4.5 lpa, So I'll join my company

Fees and Financial Aid

The 1 year tuition fees was 225,000 rs. If your cgpa is above 8.5 then you'll be eligible for scholarship. Hostel fees was about 65k rs for 1 year. They are not going to charge any extra amount such as exam fees or anything.

Campus Life

0.5

In campus there is nothing else other than college and hostel building. There is a sports complex but there is nothing in it other than a basket ball court and plain field. There is not much sports activity in college. In short for fun activities there is nothing, You just have to go to class and then come to hostel. Nearby areas from college are village area so don't expect anything.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel room and facilities are good in accordance with the price. They'll charge you 65k for 1 year which includes room and mess. You have to pay for laundry service. The mess food is worst you won't get anything special. The taste of food is very bad not eatable. In hostel room there will be 4 person.

Admission

First there will be entrance test and on the basis of rank, you'll get your branch and campus. After that you have to pay the tuition and hostel fees. There will be 2 exams in 1 semester and there be total 8 semesters. The difficulty of exams will be medium to hard

Faculty

2.5

All the faculty members are mostly PhD holders. Some of the teachers I saw are not properly know what they are teaching. Teachers are helpful, they'll help you in every problem but you can't expect them to be experts in the subject they are teaching.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.

Placement Experience:

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
