Dislikes
- Things i dia liked most is that some time other departments students take a classes in our department because Gujarat University runs many other courses also in which they don't have any proper management
- We have a proper timetable but some professors dont follow it i mean some lectures are not on time
Course Curriculum Overview
My course curriculm's special highlight is that in last semester we have dissertation project in which students have some research experience. Curriculum is well prepared with fundamental of science and future challenges and future approaches of science. Curriculum is well design which covers all the things which is must that science master's student knows. When we talk about exams so there is 2 exams in each semester. First one is internals and second one is external. Internal exams are taken by our own department but the external exam are taken by University.
Fees and Financial Aid
So our fee for each semester is 13,500? only which need to pay by slip and student needs to deposit in the bank account of University. There are many options for the scholarship like scholarship provided by Gujarat government. When we talk about job opportunity or employment opportunities there is nothing like this in department honestly but faculties do provide job opening notifications in our official alumni group
Campus Life
My campus experience was the wonderful we have a freshers party which was arranged by our seniors in our department. They welcomed us very warmly. There are two many days celebration in the month of February. We have ganesh pooja and arti during the period of Ganesh chaturthi. And its Gujarat University how can we forget about garbas... We have garba event also doing the Navratri. Our department has a Bird watching club but I was not part of it.
Admission
To apply in this course student must have betches degree in science (BSc). Admission process is fully centralise and online students must register themselves on the addmission portal of the university and the application fee was 150 during my time when I applied but nowadays it is almost 300 for the registration. Yes there is a benifit for the reserved cast students the have reserved seats. But i was a general student. Exam comes in the end of semesters and and each semester last for 3-4 months approx. When we talk about area of improvement in admission process I will such as that it should be college basis because of centralized prosess too many students applied necessary because of that there is always delayed in admission process.
Faculty
All the Faculty members are well qualified and had a PhD. During my master's i had a dissertation under Dr kaid Zohar who was a US return. They all have very good research experience. We have total 7 faculty members in our department. Our department runs 4 course in master. MSc in Zoology, Biomedical Technology, Human genetics and wildlife conservation. All the Faculty members are expert in their area. They all are very friendly and the lectures are interactable anyone can directly ask any doubt and question during the lectures.
