Firstly the safety for girls is 100% provided in this college and also its NAAC segregated college. It has special ladies room for girls. Good water source too. Greenery here is everywhere. A big ground for NCC and other sports. Special ladies programs like karate and yoga are taken every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Have I always wanted to be a Science student it was very easy for me to choose BSc My course included many such basic and a deep topic which was necessary for us to study? My subject was Zoology and it included the study of birds, animals, and human. It covered all topics related to their health, structure, modifications, and adaption which is a basic study to further research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college does provide the internship. Companies like Infosys, TATA consultancy, ADP Pune visit every year. Also bank like ICICI visit. There is pre-registration of interested candidates. A fix date and time is given then. Firstly the company tells about themselves and then there is an essay around. After essay around the failed ones are out and passed one go for aptitude. After aptitude, the past ones from this round goes to the HR round. Very few students are then moved to telephonic round and selected ones are offered with a letter of interest. Stipend depends on the company which is between 2 to 2.5 lakhs per anum.

Campus life is the best life here because of the greenery. A term is always fulfilled with various activities related and not related to study. Labs are always open and let us practice whenever we want.No gender difference is there, in fact, more girls approx 65% study here. Competitions like debates, poster competition, ppt presentations are also conducted

The hostel is very big and spacious. Each room has 4 students with 4 different beds, cupboards and table. Each room has different washroom inbuilt. The ground floor has a big mess with good food. Special food on Sunday and fast related food on fast days. The hostel is provided with wifi and garden/sitting area behind. The fee structure is 50,000Rs including wifi fee and mess fee.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors always help us to understand our professors and the subject better. They make us get involved in different activities too. In fact, I came to know about cancer event because of my senior and her warrior team who visited every class to tell about the same.

Exam Structure

Our exam structure was semester based. Every year we had two semesters. Each semester included different syllabus. Semester after Diwali did not include a practical exam. Practical exam and projects were conducted at term end exam. We had a practice practical exam before our board practical exam in our own lab.

Admission

I got admission through merit list process. Different form for arts and science with college broucher were given. After filling details and attaching all necessary documents like mark list, Leaving certificate, caste certificate, etc we had to submit the form. There were 3 merit rounds as per percent and criteria and a particular admission date after each merit was given. This was the admission process.

Zoology department included 5 faculty members doctored in different Zoology sub-topics such as animal physiology, grassland, and ecosystem, etc. They were very active and always gave us extra then what we needed. Our HOD always conducted various programs and visits in order to make us learn more and with interest. Explaining with diagrams and charts were also there. Our interest in learning zoology was equal to their teaching interest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Microbiology is mainly lab based work but it also teaches you other worldly things , the reason behind me choosing Bsc microbiology to do from ruia is because , once i had a talk to an alumni of ruia in which she mentioned that microbiology from ruia is basucally equal of engineering from an IIT. In microbiology particularly i would say the difficulty level is a bit high but only if you don't pay attention to daily lecs and practicals
