Atpadi College was established by the Atpadi Education Society. In 2012 the Managment Council of Atpadi Education Society, Atpadi made a resolution to change the name of Atpadi College, Atpadi as Shrimant Babasaheb Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya, Atpadi.
