Remarks

Even being the top college of Gujarat, I think there is a lack of good professors as most of my professors at that moment were our senior students and they were not keeping them on permanent bases.

Entrance Preview

DDU considered being the top 3 colleges for computer engineering in Gujarat. Based on my merit list, got admission on the second reshuffling. Most of the students in Gujarat looks over the merit list and then decide the list of eligible colleges in which they can get admission. So, the process was similar, based on my percentage, I have shortlisted the colleges where I can get the admission and took my chances.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the information is available on the official college website. Though, we are given a booklet at the beginning of each semester where all the information regarding courses, subjects, and lecturers are available in that booklet. That's all the information i can give.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, it provides internship based on your percentage and overall academic performance. There are companies as well which comes directly in campus selection and provides internship to the candidates who were selected in their process.

Placement Experience

4

The job opportunities are very good as far as the reputation of the college is concerned. HOD works hard to make the partnership with big IT companies and try to lure as many companies as possible in campus placement. There is a campus placement in which companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, Cybage participates to pick the students and have their own process which allows students to opt for job applications.

College Events

2.5

Every year there is 3 days tech events in which we invite students from all the colleges of Gujarat and organize various competitors like robotic war, dancing, hacking etc. There are other events as well like Sports events including cricket, table tennis in which students from different stream compete against each other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being semi-private college, it's a bit expensive than overall government college. Though, it depends whether you are on Government seat or on the private seat. It depends on how luxurious life you want to live during your college days. There are rooms which come without AC or TV and there are luxurious rooms which come with all the facilities like AC, Fridge and Tv.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any scholarship facility available for the students as I didn't need anything like that.

Campus Life

5

Overall it's one of the best colleges for geeks. If you are kind of student who is looking for a college with a fun environment, then it's not the right choice for you. If you want to study hard just like your school days then it's the college for you. Lab facilities, systems, events are also organized on yearly or monthly bases but not that much fun involved as most of these events are focused on acedemic rather than cultural.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel was good at the moment. They were taking good care of the premises by proper cleaning. There was a small canteen within hostel which used to stay open till late night and there was mess as well on ground floor, so easy access to all the food you need during your study time.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, help is given to them who seeks. Students were helpful they were ready to assist if you stuck with any difficulties.

Exam Structure

During 2005, we used to have an exam every end of the month. Afterward, that structure was changed to every week exam of specific subjects. There is a threshold of minimum marks one should achieve during all the exams. If you are not met with minimum marks required for each subject, the students are given two more exams called Ram and Re-Ram in which they were supposed to clear the subjects and obtained the minimum marks required.

Admission

I got admission at the time of 2005. At that moment, there weren't any entrance exams and the only percentage from 12th standards was supposed to be considered for the admission. As like other government associated college, admission process has been carried out centrally by Gujarat University and students are called based on their percentage rank and need to select the particular college from all the available seats from specific engineering stream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we all know , college learning is not only about textbooks, and real world knowledge is equally important. in this area, the college supports student well by giving exposure to practical learning . the course includes industry related topics, and teachers also try to explain how concepts are used in real life. the curriculum is helpful, but adding more modern tools, software and hands on projects would make it even better. Overall, the syllabus prepares student for future jobs and higher studies, while still leaving some room for improvement.

studemts become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement acitivity keeps happening throghout the final year.companies like TCS,Tata LTIindtree, wipro and few local startup like tcs and ltimindtree and the avg pakage stays on the lower sidw compared to big private colleges,The opporrinties are there ,but not as many as we expect. the percnatage of stundents getting placed depends a lot on the batch ,but it's definitely not 100%. A good number of students get interships or jobs their own efforts also, beacuse some companies dont visit every year.if a student if genuinely working on skills and projects, they can manage to get something , but the college placements alone might not be enough for evryone. after completing my degree, l plan to work on my technical skills and try for better opportunities throgh of campus options as well.i don't want to depend only on the on capus placements.my goal is to build a good portfolio so i can apply to bigger companies later.
