Remarks

University is good in every aspect, in education as well as other activities and good hostel facilities at a cheaper rate.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this university as it is a central university. University selects the students on the basis of Entrance exam marks. Students from all over India come here and so also from other countries. University has its own reputed image in INDIA.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is dealing with the technical field. As we all are aware life is impossible without polymers. The course basically deals with polymers and coating. As our prime minister Mr. Modi wants "MAKE IN INDIA " so, after pursuing this course students can develop skills and run their own industry.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides internships and so also one-day industrial visits .other than this, workshops are also organized on a regular basis.

Placement Experience

5

Various companies usually come every year to select final year students of undergraduate or master courses. In the faculty of engineering, mostly all students got placement in one or the other companies. Job opportunities are much higher as the university is central.

College Events

5

Every faculty of the university organizes its own fest and event. Zephyr, FILMSAAZ, ZARF, BIOSPARK, LITERARY FEST, CULTURAL MUSIC EVENT, Western music, Sugham and lots of others. Other than this university has its own Cultural clubs like drama club etc which organizes regularly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very much feasible, though it a central government university. Basically, all technical courses have less than 25 thousand rupees per annum and up to 8 thousand in other courses of the university like BA, BSC, BCOM, Law. If a student qualifies test then I think its almost very cheap to study in AMU.

Fees and Financial Aid

Central scholarship or state scholarship can be availed by students and other scholarships which is provided by the Alumni of the university.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very much different from other institutes. Once a student comes here he /she will never think of going to any other university for further education. University has its own Games committee and you can find every game here and students are representing on a national level. Dhyan Chand ( hockey player) was the alumni of AMU. Literary club members of AMU are National debates and achieved the 1st position.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels of AMU are historical also. Many hostels in which students are living are even 100 years old and greenery all around in the campus. No ragging and every student respect each other in a hostel. Mess food is nutritious and even cheap Rs 1200 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, every year university organizes ALUMNI MEET and many Aluminis comes from various countries and visits their own departments and even provide various opportunities to students.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is the Semester system . Every year we have 2 semesters and it works under CBCS system. First, we have sessionals of 10 marks, then 30 marks mid-semester exam and later End semester exam which is of 60 marks. All total is of 100 marks.

Admission

I applied in the AMU by filling the online form available on the AMU official website. After qualifying the entrance test I was offered admission. The eligibility criteria in my course were PCM with at least 50% marks in PCM only. I was fully eligible in all aspects.

Faculty

5

Our course Bvoc ( polymer & coating ) runs under community college in the FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, AMU. The organizing of workshops usually happened and placement drives too. Many students from Bvoc selected in various companies of polymer and paints, like in BERGER PAINTS PVT limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific aspects : vocational studies are meant to provide practical knowledge and less theoretical , i mainly chose this to be able to learn about Industry earlier. Our curriculum did promise everything but when it comes to providing actual practical experience they just take our money and in return just put us with the BA/BSc students and we have to study alongside them without any special course and the theory was supposed to be 30% but in reality they only teach theory throughout the year and it covers 70% of our grade. Area of improvement: better internship opportunities, actually teaching the practical aspects written in the syllabus. Some of the bvoc courses do get internships but not computer application. Timimg of exams are alright not very frequent as per se, difficulty level is medium.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum prepared is great . But the follow up is pathetic. They are not teaching any practical knowledge as written in the curriculum. They really need to provide us a fixed faculty based on our course. We should be provided classes and teachers of our course not some random research scholars. They don't complete the syllabus but will take exams in just one to one and half months i have completed two years here and currently I am giving mid sem exams of sem 5. Now you can imagine how it is here.the only proa here is that you will get a degree of BHU that's it .
