Remarks

The management is lacking in a lot of fields such as uniform, the admission process and the follow up regarding the day to day issues faced by the students.

Entrance Preview

Because I found that this college was offering ACCA along with the Bcom course which would be very helpful for my future. Also, I chose Bcom because I believe the course being general I can gain much more knowledge than any special or specific course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is like any other college under Bangalore university and hence it makes it the same as any other college in terms of the course curriculum. However, the teaching staff is good and their methods as well. Also, they have a variety of teachers.

Internships Opportunities

Yea indirectly they do and especially in the first and second year. The average stipend range from 2000 to 4000.

Placement Experience

3

Its not that bad and the placement cell is very active and they even have a carrier guidance cell for helping the students to get the experience they need to face the interviews. You can say that when it comes to placements the college can be rated 7/10

College Events

2.5

The college is quite traditional and every once in a while you are asked to come in traditional wear to celebrate traditional events and the birthdays of the higher order people. That's about it. Some inter college and intra college events here and there and sports once a year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's quite feasiblebeand that's a good thing. When you compare the fees structure to all other colleges of the same grade I Bangalore you will find this one to be quite less. In fact, its one of the most feasible fee structures you can find in Bangalore.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hahahahahah. Sadly no. They provide the facility but its not good. I was told I would be given a 30% off on the fees for my grades which is over 90% but they have their own way of calculation and hence it reduced to 10%. Moreover, they gave only on the general Bcom fees and not overall fees. TRAP!

Campus Life

4

Most of the students you will find in SSC are nerds who have come to secure good marks and the gender ratio is quite equal and hence its all good until you come to know that the college is narrow-minded enough to not allow boys and girls to sit together

Hostel Facilities

2

Poor. Very poor. The boys have a limited number of vacancies and the living conditions are also not that good. But the girl's hostel seems okay. The food, however, is good and tasty and also has variety! That's a good point I can think of. However, it can always improve.

Alumni/Alumna

The scenario in this regard is a little weird. Maybe they do in case of the students who belong to Bangalore but me being an outsider never received any help.

Exam Structure

It's very lenient. You have to sit for two exams before your semester exams and they also allow 5 marks each for attendance and assignments. The first exam is of 35 marks and the second is of 70 marks and even the correction and all is quite good to mention.

Admission

Just like that. I came across it on the internet so I gave it a check. Then after I filled an online application form and the college itself called me up and gave me a date to visit. I went and everything was sorted that day itself. I was made to submit all my documents and pay the initial fees.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty is okay but they are a bit strict in matters of discipline and sometimes obnoxious. But when it comes to teaching one can be assured that they are under the guidance of very good teachers who give complete knowledge regarding the subject and always encourage questions.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
