Course Curriculum Overview

4

My dream is to become a great advocate, so I chose this course and the management of my law department in mdu is quite impressive. Teachers are good and humble and they make us to understand law better . Our department also organise moot court competitions as well in this course in order to built skills in students . So course is overall good Improvement : sometimes lack of teachers and staff causes problems to students and affects their studies. Exams : semester based examination are done , question paper contains 9 questions and the 9th one is compulsory. Students have choice to do any four out of above 8

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of campus and courses is not that high . Fees is reasonable and students have to deposit their fees on semester basis . Students except of general category also get concession in fees and various scholarships are also Provided to Students like NSP , PMS In order to help them financially. University also provides free jackets to minorities in winters . But university is rising the fees of courses and that needs to be stopped. Tuition fees : my tuition fees per yr is almost 5000 but that may vary year to year

Campus Life

5

The campus life is amazing without any doubt . The campus is so so pretty and clean with so much greenery. The infrastructure of university is amazing. University also organises many events like rang bahar , youth festival, dance competition, singing competition etc every year in the month of Feb There is also a big sports complex with running track , pool , badminton court, cricket stadium etc and sports events and competition are also organised by then every year and prizes and medals are given to the Winners There are some Students clubs , activity centre, students welfare block etc are also present to help students in the university Library: All I can say about the library is just incredible. The best part of mdu is it's huge vivekananda library, with smart robots , proper management, parking lot and a 4 storey building.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are provided to both boys and girls . There are total 20 hostels in the campus 10 for boys and 10 for girls Fees : Annual fees is of 12000 rs and some security deposits as well Food : Food of the mess Is average, sometimes it don't taste good Application: hostels are available for those students whose residence distance is more than 50 kms or something from college and university. They have to apply for hostels by filling forms and giving necessary documents and in the month of July hostels are allotted to students every year Room : one room is shared by two hostellers together. The room has two fans , two bulbs , one attached balcony and two cupboards Locality: locality near hostels is also quite safe For pgs and rooms at rent , locality is not that good because of continuous noise of vehicles and other things

Admission

Eligibility for ballb : 12th class passout with min. 45 percent marks and one should also clear the entrance exam taken by department. Entrance exam : every year in the month of June and July university conducts entrance exam and the estimated cut off remains on 50 marks . Out of many students only 120 get admission in ballb Admission: all the necessary details of admission, filling forms , fees structure, last date etc is available on the office website of Mdu . i.e mdu.ac.in Some suggestions: the suggestion that I want to give is that their website sometimes gets stuck and doesn't work , they really need to improve this issue .

Faculty

3.5

Some departments have great faculty members and teachers but some don't . Those who are great are really experienced and punctual, with immense knowledge but some departments don't have enough teachers , so that's why they allow their research scholars to teach students but those scholars are not so qualified in my perspective. And the main leaders of university also pay attention to students' concern but in a delayed manner. Those who are good members are basically PhD holders with great work experience.... Students interact with them during the classes only otherwise they don't interact with us

For BBA.LLB course no batch has yet graduated, and the first batch to graduate is in their last academic year. We are expecting placements to start early this year, and after the graduation of our final batch, we will get a fair idea about the packages to be offered. Although IIM already has well-established placement records for other courses, it is expected to be the same for the law course

i think the students become eligible for placements from the 13th term. our first batch hasn't graduated yet. they are due to graduate in 2026. but certain law firms which have visited our college and have offered internships to our students are Khaitan & Co., Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, IndusLaw. Honestly, I have not decided yet what career i would want to pursue but yes, having a campus placement in hand definitely gives a sense of security. I may pursue an LLM after this or may enter into litigation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculam is very nice for the law subjects but for the BA subjects it can be very tiring at times. Like same concepts are repeated again and again in various subjects. E.g- Often what taught in Pol Science is same to what is taught in History, so it can be repetattive on some occasions.
