The course in designed in a very organized way..each subject under the course provides a deeper knowledge and understanding of the practical world and human health. Industrial microbiology is a innovative course in itself as it is gives a 360° perspective of the technology and works done in the industries with the help of microbes and its products. It helps the students to understand the importance of microbes and its usefulness of the production of different medicines. This increase the likeness towards the course. Teachers teach in a interactive way though if the practical labs are done individually with every children it will be helpful for the students to gain knowledge and learn the usage of equipment. It will provide a better experience. The exams are held twice in one semester with class tests in every 2 months.

The Campus placement are good in Chandigarh University. Each department gets campus placement with a hefty package. All the big MNCs like Google, Deloitte, Accenture, IBM as well as other private companies provide placement through indrive. The highest package offered was 18 lakhs package in the CSE department. Average package offered is around 6-10 lakhs. If anyone doesn't get a placement one can also avail for teaching in the same dept provided the student is post graduate or can also go for phd or research in the same university. Almost 97% students are placed in good companies.

The tuition fees including all other academic fees was 45000 per semester. The hostel fees included mess fees also which is 85000 per year. The hostel rooms has 4 sharing and 3 sharing with air coolers and geysers facilities. Wifi is also there in the hostel. Tuition fees is increased every alternate years for a specific course. The complete fees of masters in industrial microbiology was around 250000 including everything in academics for 2 years. Scholarship are provided to the students who takes the cu entrance exam for a particular course during the time of admission. Through this one can get upto 60% discount in the academic fees.

The CU campus is always full of energy and extracurricular activities and functions. The freshers program is held after the admission of newies. Sports day, exhibition and different types of activities are held every month. Tashan nites is one of the popular function held in the campus wherein celebrities come for their promotion of films. Various singers and celebrities come which provides great entertainment to the students. The university has a central library along with departmental libraries in every department. All kinds of books ranging from textbook and books for competitive exams are found in the library. The Library can be availed till 10 pm in the night. All the classroom are smart classes and projector is there for better understanding of various subjects through powerpoint. Labs are equipped with high technology equipments. Kabbadi, football, badminton, volleyball are played by the students in the ground. Student welfare society is there and anti ragging center.

The hostel rooms have 4 sharing and triple sharing for both national and international students. Rooms have wardrobe for each student along with table and chair for studying. Coolers are also there in each room. Some rooms have attached bathroom and others have common washroom. Geysers facilities and wifi facility is there for every floor. The meal is very hygenic and nutritious. In the breakfast, milk and tea is kept along with the breakfast. In lunch and dinner, salads along with dal, rice, curry, and curd is given. Snacks is also given. Weekly twice non veg is given. Every day the menu is changed for the meals and breakfast.

The eligibility criteria for master's in industrial microbiology requires a bachelor's degree in any discipline of science with 60% aggregate marks by any UGC and AICTE-approved university or college. The application form can be filled out online through the CU website. The admission process is very smooth and efficient. Students need to fill in the basic details like name, age, state, and education qualification. The application fees can be paid online or through bank transfer. CU entrance exam is held once a year and admission can be taken after taking the exam to avail the scholarship or one can also take direct admission. The level of the exam is moderate. The exam can be given in online and offline mode. The admission process is smooth and organized as of now.

The faculty members are extremely educated. Almost all the faculty members are PhD holders in different subjects. Their knowledge helps the students to understand the subject and it provides a liking towards various concepts and topics and it helps the students to pursue higher studies in their favourite subject. Weekly tests and seminars are held in the class to make sure every student can share their understanding of the concepts. Faculty members teach through powerpoint presentation and textbook which helps in grasping easily. Teachers teach in a very interactive way in every class. Lab works are done weekly 3 times to increase the practical knowledge and hand on the equipments.
