Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

My course is B.Com Applied Finance and Analytics which is the perfect integration of finance and analytics which is much demanded in today's market. So our course basically teaches us the traditional bcom syllabus which is mostly the financial part with legal subjects too like company law and share markets. With the traditional part the analytics part teaches us how that financial information can be showcased or worked with using technology by using different softwares such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Python, Machine learning and more. Apart from this we are also provided with many workshops through the semester regarding different topics in different areas to maximize our learning.

The top companies that visited are Deloitte, EY, Genpact, TCS, Wipro and many more from the investing anf finance sector. The highest package was of 28 lakhs per annum. Roughly 70-80% students get placement every year. My plan after getting my degree is working for 4-5 years for gaining experience then starting my own entrepreneurial journey with everything I've learnt.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee last year was 160000 INR and this year it has spiked up by 10-15%. In my opinion with the quality pf facilities and their education that they provide us with at Christ University it is totally reasonable. Apart from this i chose a pg which is roughly 75000-80000 a year excluding my meals and other necessities. They do provide different types pf scholarships. Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.Com course curriculum in my college is quite relevant and well structured. It covers core commerce subjects like accounting, business studies, and economics, which helped me choose this course. The syllabus mainly focuses on building strong theoretical fundamentals, which is useful for students planning higher studies such as M.Com, MBA, or professional courses like CA. The curriculum prepares students reasonably well for academic purposes, but there is still scope for improvement in terms of real-world exposure. More practical learning, case studies, presentations, and industry interaction would make the course more skill-oriented and career-focused. The college follows the semester system with internal and external examinations conducted regularly. The exams are of moderate difficulty level. Students who attend classes regularly, complete assignments, and study consistently can pass and score good marks.
