- Not providing internship opportunity in the specific domain.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is actually quite good and it can really help you prepare for the real- world problem but the approach of study is more theoretical rather than practical which makes it a little less understandable. The exam frequency is really high and there are MSTs after each Unit there are 3 such Units and after the third unit is the Final End Semester Exam. Exams are conducted in a very strict environment although the marks can be attained only by writing long answers.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the internship opportunities were in the sales domain which is quite common, but if you apply to only those in your Domain there were only 2-3 such opportunities with an average stipend of 15k. Projects were given according to the job role and the internship period is 45 days so the outcome is to get hands-on industry experience.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement in their final year. Companies like BNY Mellon, Yubi, E&Y are visiting campus with internship stipends of about 30000 and package of around 10Lpa. Highest package I had encountered was about 12Lpa and the lowest was 5Lpa and on average arout 7Lpa. There may be other placement offers.Around 50% definitely get placed, can't say the same for those who have not put any efforts. After getting the degree I will join a company with good package and a reputed name. Also I need my job profile on the same field which I have choose that is of a Business Analyst.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite simple, each semester there is the usual tution fee which is 155000(now) and there is 2500 exam fee. Once you may need to pay 10000 for DCPD classes which is necessary to get placement assistance and you will not be allowed to sit in a college placement drive if you do not apply for DCPD classes. Scholarships are available and you can even available 100% scholarship. You will be needing to give CUCET exam which can help you get a scholarship according to your marks. You can check the CUCET website for the same.
Campus Life
Campus Life is really good, with opportunities available in each direction, CU fest, techno nights, film promotion, etc are quite common here. Every week something is happening and every few months there are huge festival environments where you can showcase your talent and enjoy. There are a lot of books and journals available in the library. The facilities and technological provisions need some enhancement. Sports and extracurricular activities are quite common and you just need to give them your name, but you need to practice on your own. Students do run social groups, they are always appreciated and certificates are provided to such students.
Admission
There is an eligibility criteria of having more than 60% marks till your graduation but that can be handled and you need to pass the CUCET exam, which also helps you in getting a scholarship. Applications can be filled online and you can even get assistance from college. The frequency of exams is such that after every Unit there is a MST and then after 3rd unit there is the Final End Semester Exam. They are not that difficult if you have studied but you can get marks even if you write anything on the exam. I don't think there is a need for improvement in the admission process, it is really smooth and quite easy.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quite good, sometimes there is a lack of available faculty. Some experienced faculties are really good at their job but some are not that great and lack the professional skills. Some faculty are really great it interact with and they listen to your problem and help you out at the times of need.
