What Students Say
Likes
- diverse range of extracurricular activities, allowing us to ecplore and develop our talents
- numerous well-organized events throughout the year
- despite all these events, the college never compromised on quality of education. Well maintained academic standards.
Dislikes
- the administration asks the students to go from one office to another just for a small task, which is frustrating
- the mandatory 75% attendance rule is rigid.
- specializations offered within the courses are not very useful since every student of different specialization has to study the same subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview
SVVV's curriculum is one of the best ive seen so far. It covers a wide range of subjects and provides a broad knowledge base in the field, which inturn made me choose this course. It's courses are designed to reflect current industry trends and requirement, amking you industry ready. Students could crack god placements through the curriculum if they are serious towards their studies. Some courses still include outdated subjects making it irrelevant to current industry. The exams are of moderate difficulty, if you study for it you can score good.
Internships Opportunities
Students that opted for specialization courses will be offered industial trainings and internship from that company itself, like IBM ,IMPETUS etc. Other than this the university doesn't give any internships The mentors will guide you on which ever project you choose to build during this semester. You have to sumit fortnightly report for you internship every 2 weeks, this will be atleast 3 months of internship. 8th semester is only dedicated to internships, so it's a good thing that you'll do an internship in you last year.
Placement Experience
There are very few companies coming for campus placements, say 10-15, Main focus is to crack TCS ,ACCENTURE and INFOSYS. Students can sit in campus placements from 7th semester. Accenture - 43 offers,TCS- 52 offers ,ClearTail - 4 offers,Impetus,Hexaware, genesis, capgemini, digivital, axis bank, jaro education -1offer. Highest package is of 18 LPA for textile engineering in trident and average is of 4-5 LPA for associate engineer. There's a 50-60% placement ratio for now. I'll join accenture.
Fees and Financial Aid
For a batch the fee remains the same throughout the 4 year course , but for the next batch it increases by upto 10%. The fee also depends on the specialization you are choosing along with your course, you'll get the internships and industrials trainings from the company you have the specialization with. My complete cost would come around 492000 , since the base fee is 12000 a year for my course and an additional 1700 examination fee every semester. It has minority scholarships and also merit scholarships. If you scored 8.5 cgpa you'll get a total of 50% merit scholarship for the semester ad if you score 8.6 and above you are eligible for a 75% scholarship We were provided different industrial training and internship opportunities but they were'nt paid.
Campus Life
Our biggest fest is spandan, it usually happens around february, nut svvv is full of events , there are like 2-2 events happening per week, so you'll have a fun time here. There's a huge library but not much students go there, but it does have a lot og PYQ's and hard bind reports which will help you. There's not much to be said about the facilities in the classrooms, no proper classrooms and broken benches. There are many clubs for different interests and that what makes life at svvv so amazing, it builds you as a person.
Admission
You'll be given the course that you like if you have a good score, no iit jee scores required , no percentage criteria, even if you have a 50% score in 12th you'll get admissions as long as you are willing to pay. you can find the details on admissions.svvv.edu.in . But i would suggest to personally go and visit the campus or call the admission cell to get a better insight on the available courses and fee structure. If you are from OBC/SC/ST you'll get additional scholarships. But if you are eligible for the merit scholarship too , you can take either of this. Admission portal needs to be improved and the student intakes need to be monitored
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is very huge. Almost unbelievable , and sometimes the same faculty has to teach multiple subjects to multiple classes. The faculties are not only knowledgable but also experienced in their respective fields, not only professionally but they will also understand the concerns of the students. Teachers are very friendly and will consider your reasons for missing out on your exams and assignments
