Likes

College is located in a very beautiful valley srinagar
Clinical exposure of our college is way better than other GMC
Teachers are very interactive and dedicated

Dislikes

There is big problem of hostel accommodation
Only after 1 year they give you the govt hostel which is way to hectic for student in first year to manage their studies
There is no better ground for students to play

Exams in skims are extremely tough and clinical based And one thing in skims that they provide clear image of the students reports and also they send letter to parents for the students to improve and they introduce various teaching methods to enhance the students clinical knowledge and make him/her a better doctor for the future

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There is no such things in medical They provide intership in their own hospital and they pay you 12400/ months which might get increased You have to give 24 hours duety in the hospital and attend patients

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year skims fees get decreased whey you are shifted from first year to 2nd year Like in 1st year our fees was around 12k Now in 2nd year its was around 7k Its keep decreasing year by year And in intership they give 12400 stipend/month to an intern doctor

Campus Life

There is sports week that happen every year there Students gets opportunities to play a lot of games there And in lib every books is available there is a digital library card in our college which can leads you to the excess of every book available in the library

Hostel Facilities

In first year for girls there is accommodation available Not the girls hostel but another hostel But for boys you have to rent a pg outside the college hostel till 1 year after that you can get hostel You can register for hostel by giving a application to warden which contains your batch and roll no And meal quality of hostel mess is worse

Hostel Fee: INR 17400 per year

Admission

Eligibility of MBBS you have to write the NEET exam For which you have to score good rank then you can apply for counselling as per your category Form of this exam will be available on NTA every year around april -May they take exam for neet

Faculty is top notch there are way too good doctors and teachers in skims they are very focused and they give more focus to clinical knowledge rather than teaching theory and all the members have great clinical knowledge and experience

AIIMS JAMMU TOTAL REVEIW

Placement Experience:

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.

All u need to know about ASCOMS Jammu

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose MBBS by my choice The more the practical and clinicals u perform the better u understand things rather than books . Real life experience is important I think what should be improved is that focus should be more on things that are more important for being a doctor. More towards clinical aspects more towards practical performance and less on things needed to cram Timing for exam of 80 mark is 3 hrs and is quite good enough time. 20 marks are of mcqs so total 100 mark.
