Course Curriculum Overview

Almost all the courses are interesting and interactive with the real world. The quality of the courses offered are amazing. The core courses here are very useful and the faculties here are very friendly.

Internships Opportunities

It offers online internships. Companies like microsoft, google, zoho to maven silicon, ethnus offer internships here. The quality of the course and internship is good. Some provides stipends too. They provide personal projects too.

Placement Experience

The placement starts around the end of 3rd year. Many companies come here for placements. There are two offers: Dream and super dream offers. The salary varies accordingly. A CGPA more than 8.5 has good chance of getting placed. Our college offers 100% placemen.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure here depends on the result of the entrance exam offered by the college. The first category is to be paid with Rs.200000 and it increases with Rs,100000 for each category. There are 5 categories. They provide inhand experience and stipends too. The courses are worthy.

Campus Life

There are various clubs in VIT, ranging from technical to traditional clubs. Almost every festival is being celebrated here. The traditional clubs takes care of it. The technical club takes care on the academic sides.

Hostel Facilities

There are around 4 hostels. It has good infrastructure and has high-rated cleanliness. There are different catering services and the food offered here are of good quality. It has veg, Non-veg and a special menu.

Hostel Fee: INR 140000 per year

Admission

Yeah, our college has an entrance exam. The result comes as rank. The fees of the course depends on the rank. The courses are to be selected in priority order. The fees for the category 1 is Around 2Lakhs and is increased with 1Lakhs for each course.

The course here are needed to be explained clearly. Our teachers play an important role in explaining the tough stuffs easier and they will clear the doubts very often even we ask many times. They take extra care by giving extra working exercises.

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem onwards students are eligible to attend the placement drives. companies like Amazon , tcs , Accenture, cognizant, sonacomstar, nissiki, valeo, Cap Gemini visit the campus. The highest package offered was 41LPA by Amazon and average package was 4LPA.

Not a topper but a good learner

Placement Experience:

In my department, placement will provide in the final year. In pre final year they provide internship training to the students. Nearly 10 to 15 companies gives placement in the core sector. It's packages are 25k average. For non core like IT, minimum of 20 to 40 companies will visit to the campus for placement. It's average package will be 35 to 45k.

About the placement of colleges there are many compromise to visit to college respect of different departments and the placement start as well as internships when they student enter final year. Percentage of the student getting placement where is from department to department but maximum student gets placed at the end of the year.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains.
