The teaching method of college is far better than other colleges in kolhapur and they have much educated teachers
The college have provided a much better facilities for students like smart boards, wifi, mac labs.

Course Curriculum Overview

The subjects in this course are desinged much better for the students who want to make progress in IT field The Curriculum teaches us how to apply our knowledge in the real world problems to solve them The college conducts an mid semester exam after 3 months of semester and an End Semester exam after 6 month

Intel learning has offered the internship to the students with much better academics and college has taken many efforts to help students get this internship. There are multiple internships offered to the studdents with the help of college and they help the students to get hands on experience

The college life in KIT,s College of engineering is much better than other college. I have joined the Rotract Club of kit sunshine and it helps me to do social work and make friends. Also helps in studying. Every year there is a annual week named Meraki where students enjoy a lot with different dresscodes , traditional dresses , Dj- nights , dance performances.etc

Admission

To get admission in Data Science at KIT's college of engineering the minimum score must be 86 percentile in cet exam . Those are applicable for any kind of scholarship may require less score for getting the admission it depends on the cutt off that year

The faculty to student ratio is 6:1 All teachers at our college are much friendly and best at teaching their subjects in our college expect some of the teachers who are less likely to interact more with student

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

An underrated college in kolhapur

I chose this college because the fees is very affordable and the return on investment is good. Placements are also fine and they are improving every year. I had 93 percentile in mhtcet and I had plenty of other options like dy Patil akurdi pune, sinhagad college pune etc. The admission process is by mhtcet and jee.
