Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS is an ever-changing course and most of the decisions about what we study are made by the policy makers and institutions such as NMC and MCI. There is little role of the college in that However SIMSRC makes it a point to follow all curriculum guidelines strictly whether they be issued from RGUHS or NMC. Including the latest inductions such as CBME , AETCOM etc

Internships Opportunities

4

Sapthagiri provides internship opportunity for all its students at the end of 4.5 years of mbbs. Internship lasts for 12 months and interns are given plenty of experiousnand exposure in the super speciality hospital

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit fees for students outside of Karnataka is 10 lakhs PA for MBBS. However it is reduced to around 1.5 lakhs PA for Karnataka domicile students Management quota fees can go up to around 1 Cr + Hostel charges vary for double sharing it comes up to 1,40,000 including mess and for triple it comes up to 1,25,000 including mess

Campus Life

2

Sports infrastructure and other things are missing at sapthagiri. This is purely a no-nonsense college with little opportunity for co-curricular activites. However a college fest is organized every year where students can take part in few sports and other cultural events such as dance/music/painting etc

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel faculty is available with diff hostels for boys and girls. UG hostels are separated from pg and intern hostels. Double and triple sharing hostel rooms are available here Hostels are spacious and well lit with ample space and cross ventilation Mess service however needs to be improved as the quality of food is very bad

Admission

Admission process is purely online via counselling conducted by the MCI for all India quota and via KEA for state quota and open seats. Admission is given in basis of marks and ranks secured in NEET UG examination

Faculty

4.5

Student teacher ratio is poor as the number of students in each batch is 250. Managing so many students at once is not an easy task for a professor. Faculty however is very very experienced and includes both Doctors and people with specializations in their respective field. They are knowledgeable and experienced Interaction with teacher and approaching them is not an issue as they are readily available during college hours

Other Applied Colleges

Cutoff for NEET 2022 was too high

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
