Dislikes

Infrastructure is not excellent as the college is old but still the management fixes any issues regarding the equipments and infrastructure as soon as maintenance is needed.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose computer science in order to learn more about computer hardware and the necessary software's needed to successfully run the computer. The courses and the curriculum offered provides me with deep insights into the field of computer science and even more technologies and tools like AI and ML which will prevail in the future.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 95000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I was able to work in a company named Gooseberry media as a project leader for developing a our project named DROMED in which medicines are supplied using the help of drones. In this year I'm going to attend an internship on AI and ML offered by Freston Analytics Pvt LTD.

Placement Experience

Our college has one of the most placements. In my knowledge our seniors consisted of almost 60 students out of which almost 45 got placed and some of the rest went to higher studies and the others who were not placed were offered job recruitments though the suggestion of our HOD. The average package is 4 LPA. The highest package was 10 LPA. And every year placements take place and we are being trained each year by the placement training cell for interviews and group discussions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for management quota is 110000 Rs. and for government quota is 90000. Even more than that there is reduction in fees and scholarship facilities for reservation applicable students. Their fee is around 15000-25000 rs. per year.

Campus Life

The college campus is situated in a green and peaceful environment so no disturbance by pollution noise and sound. The college conducts fests for each department every year. The college authorities conducts sports, arts and out main event called ADVAY every year to initiate students to active participation and showcase their talents and skills.

Admission

Firstly, I took admission in the college through management quota. After that my KEAM results came and I was allowed to convert to government quota to study computer science. The admission process was conducted in a simple and easier manner. I was called by the college authorities and informed a date to come to college with all the necessary documents that they have mentioned. The admission process was completed by just submitting the documents and signing the required fields.

Faculty

The faculties are very helpful and supportive. Almost more than half of our faculties hold PhD for various fields. Student to faculty ratio is not a problem as the faculties communicate effectively through a sound addressing system like a mic and speaker. Every faculties are responsive and clear doubts regarding projects assignments exams and other co curricular activities.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

I did not choose this college. I just got enrolled here due to parents compelling.i had applied to some other colleges too. The process for admission is that you need to submit your mark lists and related documents along with a hefty admission fee. Then your seat is secured. Comparing to other collages the main reason I opted this college isnthe fees. And on that rage of fees it is offering decent placements. TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Admission process was fine overall , They either needed a good KEAM rank, or JEE percentile works fine too. Since i had a decent JEE percentile rank i went for that option. JEE is of course pretty tough compared to keam but it can be managed. KEAM is out of 900 where 400 above is considered good Form can be found in their respective sites...Read More
