Delhi university: pros and cons

I'm pursuing Bsc mathematics(hons) from Delhi university and I personally feel there is huge scope. Not just one but more than 10 areas of job are ready for you once you get graduated. From a senior professor to a cooperate worker anything fits you can get you a good income. Moreover I belong from a science background but choosing maths hons was such a great step I took. After getting to know the value of this course I myself was astonished. To all those who are confused between maths hons and boom hons I would really suggest maths hons because of the wide areas you can get into. Subjects are somewhat tricky but once you get to know them they are super interesting.

A number of internships are offered every few days to the students but it is totally based on you whether you can cope with your studies and internships together or not. Internships not just are paid but majorly help you gain lifetime lessons and experiences which further help when we are placed in an organisation. Not just your department ones but you can join internships from any department provided by the college. Which helps you become a multitasker as well. Our college provides a number of IT based, programming based and other informative internships as well.

4th to 5th semester is the time when you can apply for placements both on and off campus depending on your personal capability. Many big companies such as Infosys and amazon have made a number of placements from the university providing a very decent package. After the course it is definitely upto you whether you wanna earn or get into a masters course. I personally prefer doing masters after the completion of bachelors because I've seen people who once begin to earn do not really wish to study again for masters as the link breaks up.

The university offers multiple areas of scholarship plus many financial benefits for single girl child and many more people with some financial issues. The hostels are super affordable as well. The college fees is very minimal including all the fun that you get inside. Not just about fun but the experiences you get are very much educative. The college will help you in case of any emergencies or any issues that you are facing in terms of financial aspect. Along with the college provides areas for a number of paid internships which can not just fulfill your colleges fee but help you otherwise as well.

our campus provides huge opportunities for children interested in sports dance or other curricular activities. Many societies are there in the college to help you pursue your passions with great interest. The missing out of classes is and issue for some people who are a part of societies but if you can cope up with both sideways then we have a number of societies to make your college life next level thrilling and exciting. Not just college based but societies also help you take part in a number of events, competitions, marathons etc.

The admission took place depending on the CUET score. I personally did not avail any reservation benefits and I'm not so sure if the delhi quota has a stand in this exam or not. But frankly speaking cuet is not a big deal if you've scored good in your boards. Plus the upgradation process can improve your college rank as well if you've got some college which you didn't want for any reasons. For different courses fmdifferent subjects are necessary to be qualified in the cuet exam. Before applying for the subjects in the exam you need to go through the prospectus on the delhi university website to check which subject's score will be checked for admission into your course. For me ie. In maths hons general test was necessary to be qualified but in some other courses it is not evaluated so checking the website before subject selection should be must.

Here the faculty members are very much educated and can help you with your doubts from any referral book as well. All of them are so much capable to help you out with not just studies but also the college environment and everything you want to know about. The teachers are cooperative enough to help you even in your medical emergencies and also they are super motivative to never let you feel down. I personally had some medical issues and not just one but all the teachers were there to help me out with the lectures I missed. To make you score good the teachers here would turn all the rocks upside down to help you out with every small and big topics.
