Remarks

Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology is a good college if you are looking only for academic excellence and placement after 4 years. But if you are coming here expecting to enjoy pomp of Kochi you would be more than disappointed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course follows the KTU curriculum as its affiliated to KTU. KTU syllabus's greatest advantage is that it updates after every 4 years, thereby making it up to date. Exam structure is slightly complicated in KTU, with the paper evaluation also being strict.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is the greatest add on of this college with many prominent companies such as Verizon, Indian navy, TCS, Amazon etc coming for placement. The placement percentage is the college is also very high.

College Events

1.5

Being a typical private engineering college in Kerala, there are not many events conducted here and that handful of events are conducted without much pomp and splendor. There are 2 fests that happen in the college namely Bharatam which is a 3-day intro college arts fest and 2nd being the tech fest, they being either of Techkshetra which is a one-day event or Abhiyantrika which is a 2-day tech fest. They are held alternately every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure of students who have secured ranks higher than 5000 in KEAM and have entered the college on management seat is 85000 rupees. There is a reduction in fees if the candidate and secured below 5000 ranks in KEAM or is under reservation quota. Candidates securing admission through NRI quota have to pay a donation in lakhs in addition to yearly fees which is around 2 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are not many students studying here on scholarship so information about it is not available. Same is the condition with educational loans

Campus Life

4

Campus life is something that this college miss very much. There is limited interaction between the senior batches with the juniors, with almost no ragging occurring. There exist a healthy gender ratio in branches of ECE, CSE, IT and CE, while in AEI, EEE boys are more in number and in ME girls are almost nonexistent.

Hostel Facilities

4

The mess fees and hostel fees are collected separately. The mess fees are 40000 rupees while double rooms with attached bathroom cost 70000 rupees while triple room cost 39000 rupees. The facilities and the mess are of high standards and is worth the fees paid.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is another weak link in the college with the network not every active enough. Seniors are friendly and helpful, with them almost not ragging juniors.

Admission

I got admission into this college on a management seat based upon my Keam and 12th-grade marks. The allotment for management seats usually starts a week after the declaration of KEAM marks. Registration for management seats begin before a declaration of KEAM marks and is subjected to whether the student has qualified KEAM.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of the college is above average, with many of them being Ph. D graduates or pursuing it. Faculty does take the pain to explain us the concepts. Some of the faculty are research scholars, thereby giving us an industrial dimension to our subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
