- There are great co curricular opportunities in the college. Both sports and other activities are promoted.
- MNIT has its own Innovation and Intubation Centre, which gives students a great platform to reach out with their ideas.
- Students have regular participation in activities hosted by other NITs and IITs.
Dislikes
- Hostel rules for girls are strict, which end time.
- Recently, campus has restricted entry to food and grocery deliveries
- Campus is not open for girls to roam after 10. Restrictions are posed
Course Curriculum Overview
A new course curriculum has been designed and opted in the recent years which is more relevant to practical learning and enhance students skills. Courses related to softwares have been introduced so that students get equipped to software learning.
Placement Experience
Average on campus placement is 4-5 LPA. Highest being 12-15 LPA. Companies like Asian Paints and L&T( Larsen & Turbo) offer placements. Students of 5th year sit for placements and 4th year for training.
Fees and Financial Aid
As per JOSAA, Scholarships are provided on the basis of income and caste. Relaxation in the fee is followed as per JOSAA guidelines. Special remuneration in fees is provided to students for Madhya Pradesh.
Campus Life
MNIT is the host for one of the biggest cultural and tech fests in Rajasthan. The cultural fest is called Blitzschlag and Tech fest is called Sphinx. MNIT has access to a great library which provides more than 20000 books including all the departments. The campus is equipped with its own Innovation and Incubation Centre, Earthquake Testing Building and Laboratories equipped with the latest technologies. Student driven clubs are the soul of the college, taking part in intra, inter college competitions and winning them and bringing trophy home. Sports is an active part of the campus. The campus has its own basketball court, badminton, tennis court, football field and other games.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good. For first year, shared rooms are provided (in sharing of 3). From second year, single rooms are provided. There are NO attached washrooms. Each corridor has two washrooms. Mess fees is included in hostel fees. Hostel can be opted once JOSAA counselling is finished and students are provided with their college IDs. Total hostel feel : 47000 for Sem 1 (32000+15000(caution money) Sem 2 onwards: 32000 (20000 for mess + 12000 other services)
Admission
I gave JEE B.Arch Paper 2, with a rank under 700. Home state quota is also applied with quota extending upto AIR 7000. Application form for JEE Paper 2 can be found on JOSAA Website with further details. 2 papers take place each year. Mathematics, aptitude and drawing test is done in the paper
Faculty
The Faculty are mostly NIT, IIT or SPA graduates with a lot of experience. Faculty are specialised in their field and are open to interaction. With a mixture of faculty i.e. senior and junior, there are great inputs and contrast in the same, which helps students understand designs.
